Another Sunday, another Bunnings Sausage Sizzle

Kenthurst Literary Institute (KLI) are fund raising today to support the replacement of the concrete surrounding the Kenthurst Community Pool.

This is a $40K project (pipework under the concrete will also need replacement)

Much of the concrete is original going back to the early 1960’s when the pool was built.

Come up to Bunnings Dural today (Sunday) and grab a sausage sandwich with the sausages being supplied by Anthony’s Gourmet Meats of Kenthurst they are delicious and almost fat free.

Has someone lost their sparkle? We were left behind in John Benyon Park, Kenthurst on Saturday. You will find us waiting on a table near the playground!

I’m old and probably used as a child’s toy, but I have lots of photos and personal information on me! If you left me at the playground in John Benyon Park in Kenthurst please send a message to Kenthurst Community Pool to claim me.

With ANZAC day fast approaching we thought we would share the honour boards that are displayed in the Kenthurst Literary Institute building. As the building is now the home of Parker’s Dance Studio not all locals will be aware of the history of the building … I am sure Malcolm Johnson will do a post of the history of the hall / pool in the not too distant future.

Needless to say the institute is very much a part of Kenthurst.

FYI, KLI (Kenthurst Literary Institute) manage the property that covers the main building, the old Squash Court which is now “The Studio”, The John Benyon Park and the community pool and it is all done by volunteers with the assistance of Kenthurst Rotary.

Fund raising BBQ at Bunnings Dural today till 3:30.

All funds / donations will be used to go towards replacing the concrete / pipework around the Kenthurst Community Pool.

The sausages are from Anthony’s Gourmet Meats of Kenthurst are are almost fat free and yummy.

Sadly, our baby pool was found littered with mulch this morning. Volunteers spent 2 hours removing litter and cleaning the pool. Filters were clogged, pumps working overtime, additional chemicals required!

Parents, please supervise your children and treat our community pool with respect to ensure major damage is not caused.

Kenthurst Literary Institute (KLI), the custodians of John Benyon Park and Kenthurst Community Pool will be holding a fundraising sausage sizzle at Bunnings Dural, today Sunday 22nd March.

We serve delicious, almost fat free sausages from Anthony’s Gourmet Meats of Kenthurst and Dural, so you can enjoy a snag almost guilt free.

Timing is 8:00am to about 3:30pm

100% of funds raised will be used towards the replacement of the concrete surrounding the Kenthurst community pool (and replacement of all pipes under the concrete). Much of the concrete was laid when the pool was constructed in the early 1960’s.

Whilst the team will not have our clown faces on we will try and entertain you with our collection of one liners and a good repertoire of Dad Jokes
