☔Oval Closed☔

Training and Friday night's meet have been cancelled due to the enormous amount of rain that's fallen on Brisbane.

Our partners at The Gap State High School have reluctantly closed the oval for the rest of the week. The next update will come after the school checks the condition of the field on Monday.

Keep moving if it's safe to do so, and stay tuned for updates about the LAQ Regional Relays at Arana Hills on November 7.

So many flashes of green in the field and on the QSAC track as our athletes made a statement at the Coles Summer Carnival Series 1 meet on Saturday.

Almost 20 The Gap Little As legends had a ball, with Daniel O (discus and shot put), Lily B (80m hurdles, 200m, shot put) and Holly E (80m hurdles) rocketing onto the podium.

Another seven recorded top 10 finishes: a stunning performance given the quality and depth of the fields.

It was a great opportunity to put skills into practice and grab some laughs with mates ahead of some even bigger meets this summer.

Thanks to all the officials, many of whom backed up after the GPS Championships on Friday, and to all the parent volunteers.

Sadly, this week's deluge has drenched the oval and we've had to cancel Friday night's meet.

Stay dry and safe and we'll see you all next week.
