We’re thrilled to welcome Stephen ‘Scuba’ McCabe back to Birallee Park for the 2026/27 season!

Scuba is no stranger to the Raiders, having previously pulled on the Red and Blue and carrying strong family ties to our club. He is also the grandson of the late, great and life member Linley ‘Jock’ Campbell, a name that holds a proud place in Raiders history.

It’s fantastic to have Scuba back where he belongs, and we are especially excited to welcome Scuba, his wife Mim, and their newborn daughter Grace into the Raiders family. ❤️💙

Great first turnout last night for the start of preseason! Awesome to see so many faces down at training, and a big welcome to the new players who joined us for the first time.

Same time, same place next week – let’s keep the momentum going. If you can’t make it, please give your coaches a shout so we can plan around numbers.

We kick things off Monday 17 August, with five sessions across August and September to blow out the cobwebs and get ready for another big season.

New players are more than welcome, so if you’re thinking about pulling on the Raiders colours this season, come down and get involved.

A huge congratulations to Jack Nieuwerth and his partner Bronte Green on the arrival of their first child, Bailey George Nieuwerth.

WELCOME BACK | ASHTON BROOKES 🏏

We’re thrilled to welcome Ashton Brookes back to Birallee Park for the 2026/27 season!

Ashton was primed for a big season last year, but unfortunately injury kept him from taking the field. We’re excited to see him back fit, firing, and ready to make his mark this summer.

A Raiders premiership junior, Ashton is a talented leg spinner, a gun in the field, and more than capable of finding the boundary with the bat.

We can’t wait to see Ashton back in Raiders colours and wish him all the best for a big season ahead.

🕊️ Vale – Anna Nieuwerth

It is with deep sadness that the Wodonga Raiders Cricket Club mourns the passing of Anna Nieuwerth.

Anna was a much-loved member of our extended Raiders family through her children, Georgia, Oliver and Jack. Georgia and Oliver proudly represented our club in junior cricket, while Jack continues to be a valued member of our club.

On behalf of everyone at the Wodonga Raiders Cricket Club, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Paul, Jack, Georgia, Oliver and the entire Nieuwerth family during this incredibly difficult time.

May you find comfort in the love and support of those around you, and strength in the cherished memories of Anna.

🔴🔵 WELCOME BACK, FLYNN! 🔵🔴

We are delighted to welcome back Flynn Stewart for the 2026/27 season.

A product of our junior program and a premiership winner at both junior and senior level, Flynn is one of our own in every sense of the word.

Flynn returns determined to make a big impact after school cricket commitments restricted him to just a handful of appearances last season.
Even with limited opportunities, Flynn averaged 31 from 7 innings, including an impressive 70, showing exactly what he can bring when given the chance.

Still only 17, Flynn's best cricket is undoubtedly still ahead of him. With a full season available, we're excited to see him continue his development and make a significant impact in Raiders colours throughout the 2026/27 campaign.

🔒 LOCKED IN – JAMES HODKINSON

We are delighted to confirm James Hodkinson has recommitted for the 2026/27 season.

A quality performer with bat and ball, James leads by example in all facets of the game and is widely regarded as one of the most elite fielders in our competition. Heading into his third season with the Raiders, the young Englishmen continues to grow as both a player and a person — a testament to his dedication to the club and the game.

This season, James steps into the role of Fielding Coach, and we have no doubt he will set an exceptional standard for our group.

Much loved by his teammates and everyone at the club, James is a cornerstone of the Raiders family. We look forward to what he brings to the 2026/27 season.
