There’s something pretty therapeutic about switching off the part of your brain that wants to control the outcome and simply letting yourself create.
Messy, weird, wonky, wonderful. It really doesn’t matter. The outcome isn’t the point, the process is.
A big thank you to Emily for contributing this little activity to our Limber lodge Winter Wellbeing journal. 🫶🎨

Have we lost touch in what COMMUNITY actually means?
In this Limber Lounge chat, we talk about what that actually takes putting yourself out there, creating spaces for people to connect, showing up again and again… and accepting that real community takes time.
Because as much as we all love protecting our peace (and trust us, we do 😅), we’re not really designed to do life alone. The right people can energise us, support us, challenge us and make life feel a whole lot fuller.
From a business perspective, it’s no different. You can’t slap “community” on the website and call it a day. You have to live it, host it, facilitate it and keep investing in it, even when it takes a while to grow. 🌱
What’s your thoughts on this?
Your suboccipitals are the tiny muscles right at the base of your skull, and they can hold a surprising amount of tension.
Stress, work, screen time… it can all show up here.
But good news. A couple of minutes of gentle release can help soften some of that tension and give your body a little nudge towards slowing down. 🙌🏻

A little glimpse inside our Limber Lodge community WhatsApp chat ❄️
Safe to say, this chat has been popping off with Lodge buddies linking up cheering each other on and getting those Slope checkpoints ticked off together.
This is exactly what the Lodge is all about: moving, connecting and making winter feel a whole lot more fun.
⛷️❄️🤍
Feeling overwhelmed or anxious? Start with your breath.
Ali, our breathwork facilitator, takes you through a simple 4 x 4 box breath to help bring you back into the present moment.
Save this one for the moments when everything feels a little too much.🌱

Ever wondered what goes on in Limber Strength? 💪
We take everything you love about Pilates, control, precision + intentional movement and add dumbbells.
Expect mobility/stability warm up, strength circuits, challenging loads and reps that take you close to fatigue, with progressive overload woven in to help you get genuinely stronger over time.
Hands up if this your favourite class on the timetable?

HALFWAY(ish) of the Limber Lodge 🏔️
Three weeks down and somehow we’ve already packed a whole lot of goodness into this little winter adventure.
We’ve hiked together, sauna’d together, sipped tonic shots, moved our bodies, celebrated wins, welcomed new faces and sent our beautiful Georgia off on her next adventure of having a BABY 🥹
There have been prizes, treats and plenty of Lodge spirit thanks to some very generous local friends for our weekly prizes so far SKINN CLUB MoveActive Mayde Tea and SISUU Mayde
But our favourite part? Watching you guys get amongst it. Trying something new. Getting outside. Connecting with each other. Making a little more space for the things that make you feel GOOD.
Two weeks left in the Lodge. Plenty more points to collect, bonus tasks to tick off and goodness still to come. Keep going, Lodgers. You’re doing winter very, very well. 🫶

Meet the humans behind Limber 🌻 Courtney
Pilates Teacher
Courtney is one of our longest-standing teachers, right there with Lily in the early Limber start up days at surf club. She’s been part of the Limber journey ever since, and more recently we’ve loved watching her become a mum💛
WHAT would we find you doing outside of work life?
Studying at university, training in the gym, reading fantasy romance novels or spending time with my husband, daughter and our dog.
WHAT does movement mean to you?
So much more than exercise. It’s my time to be present, reconnect with myself and appreciate my body for what it can do. I’ve been moving and dancing since I was four — I genuinely can’t imagine life without it.
WHAT do you want people to feel when they leave your class?
Good — physically, mentally and emotionally. I want people to step out of their minds and back into their bodies, and leave feeling supported, seen and part of something special.
A 👀 into Courtney’s classes = killer Wunda Chair flows, lots of laughs, and a teacher so committed she blew up the Pilates ball..without a straw. 😂 DW She lived to tell the tale. 💨
