Employment Opportunity
The Amherst Curling Club is seeking an individual to fill the position of Ice Technician. Our current Ice Technician is retiring after the 2026-27 season. This position requires an average 22 to 24 hours per week, and you would be responsible for all aspects of the ice shed as well as clearing snow from the entry steps after snowstorms. You will be required to liaise with league coordinators to have ice prepared for their specific game times. There will also be several tournaments held throughout the year that will require additional hours. You will report to the ice chairperson for direction or advice. Training will be provided.

It is Curling Day in Canada!
Our club will be open all day for anyone to drop in and see some curling. Our under age 9 and under age 15 teams will be playing against New Glasgow at 10 AM and 1 PM. At lunchtime there will be a draw-to-the-button contest amongst these young curlers
At around 5 PM the club will compete in the Curl Canada big shootout contest against all other clubs in Canada. This shootout will be live on YouTube.
Congratulations to Coleridge Shelley for being the first to pin a rock last night during our practice.
