After many inquiring DMs: John and I have decided to give an update on where the Chiggy Ultra stands. We made the tough decision that if the Cape Chignecto Park is not open to the public by 9pm Sept 19th… we will regretfully have to cancel the event. If the event gets cancelled, all runners will get deferred til 2026 … but hopefully that won’t be necessary! We hope to see everyone in October ✌🏽

Due to the extremely dry conditions, the Province of Nova Scotia has placed a ban on hiking in the woods as of 4:00pm today. This includes the entirety of the Cape George Hiking Trails. Beaches and parks are still accessible. There is a significant fine for violating this restriction, but, even more, we ask that you respect it to ensure the safety of the forest and all of us who live in and around it. 🦌🐿️🦋🦅🐻🐦‍⬛🦊🐇🌲🙂 We will keep you updated, and we hope to be ready for visitors again before too long. need a person or two to help in parking lot (greeter, and first contact, plus race marshall in same spot for kids race and big race)

three course marshalls (cheering and encouragement at assigned intersections)

Join Us for Garett Landry’s 100th Consecutive 10K Run!

Come celebrate with us as Garett Landry hits 100 consecutive days of 10km runs as part of his training for the Boston Marathon! This milestone run will be a group event with both 5K and 10K route options with various paces, so runners of all levels can join in on the fun.

Date: Tuesday, March 4th

Start Location: Pictou County Cycle (2619 Westville Rd, New Glasgow)

Time: 5:30 PM

There will also be door prizes and a giveaway for a FREE pair of ON Running shoes!
