I’ve filmed plenty of knee wrap tutorials BUT here we are with a wrist wrap overview of my preferred method.
The idea behind wrapping to to stabilize / support and restrict a joint to get more out of it, this is not any different with a wrist. We’ve talked about the ideal bar position being the heel of the hand to better stack the bar in relation to our elbow but how do we support the wrist in doing so?
In the video we are using a diagonal “X” wrap at the top of the approved limit, the idea here is create a pocket for the wrist to sink into and support the thumb as it’s supporting the bar in that lower hand position. This style of wrapping is also good for helping to reduce the amount wrist extension under great loads.
Give it a shot.

We’ve gone ahead and started to upload our equipped (and some raw) programs into the training app.
The primary focus is going to be on equipped lifting programs to help new and both experienced lifters excel in single ply!
This is the same programming methodology we’ve used to:
▫️Help build the largest equipped total in CanPl history
▫️Build the largest equipped bench only total in CanPl history
▫️Get 30+ lifters to the Equipped Worlds platform
▫️Help build World Games athletes
2 Equipped 3 lift programs will be available March 30th/26 as well.
This also gives access to our exercise library and community chats where we will be hosting weekly discussions with those following the program.
Happy to be sending 16 athletes to Can Pl nationals this week.
Looking forward to working with all of our athletes this week as well as a few others on the day!
Wishing good luck and white lights to all those attending.
* This is more specific to single ply benching and opinions/thoughts are different around raw benching *
Setting and using a bench modifier (Slingshot, Ram, SuperRam, Widowmaker etc)
Get more out of the equipment you’re using, if you are going to cheat movements to get more weight on the bar… get more weight on the bar.
