The same Band whose official duties include the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace will perform live at Spruce Meadows throughout the week.
Then Friday night: the International Ring, the Welsh Guards playing live and fireworks overhead for TELUS Evening of the Horse.
A London tradition, brought all the way to Calgary for the ‘Masters’.

Richard Vogel is coming to Spruce Meadows for one thing: History. 🏆
On Sunday, September 13, he enters the CPKC ‘International’, presented by Rolex, one victory away from completing the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping.
Win here, and he becomes only the second rider in history to complete it, and the second to do so at Spruce Meadows.
And the competition he has to win? A $5 million Grand Prix with the largest prize purse offered for a single show jumping competition, again understood to be the biggest single-day sporting event payout in Canada this year.

All five days, the Blacksmith World Championships bring competitors from 16 countries to Spruce Meadows to forge, shoe and battle for the title of World Champion.
