Reminder that the sportsplex will be closed on Tuesday

Oki Siksika,

The Deerfoot Sportsplex will be closed to the public and staff on Tuesday, September 8 for scheduled pressure testing of the new CO2 piping, part of our Ice Plant Upgrade Project. No one will be permitted on-site, including in the gymnasium, arena, Deerfoot Athletic Club, meeting spaces, staff offices, storage spaces, outdoor rink, or parking lot while a certified inspector oversees the test.

We expect to reopen with regular hours on Wednesday, September 9, but please watch this page for confirmation.

The Next Generation Day Camp Program extends its sincere gratitude to our dedicated participants and summer students, whose daily commitment made this program a success.

We also extend our appreciation to our Custodian and Maintenance staff, SN7 Team, Siksika Health Services, Siksika Fire & Rescue, Happy Place Rentals YYC, Tubby’s Party Rentals, and MarkusLovidoves Arts and Crafts for their essential support.

Today we celebrated the end of another fun-filled summer with our Summer End Staff & Campers BBQ! 🥳

Our campers got to enjoy an afternoon full of laughter, games, water activities, face painting, balloon twisting, bouncy houses, and of course, lots of good food! 💦🎨🎈🍿

A huge thank you to all of our summer staff for the time, energy, patience, and care you put into making this summer special for our kids. ❤️
And thank you to all of the families who trusted us with their children and joined us throughout the summer!

We hope everyone had an amazing afternoon and made some great memories to take with them. ☀️💛

Today we’re getting active with traditional sports activities lead by Sayder Duck Chief; including Double Ball, Hoop & Spear, and so much more!
