π§ Miller Moto Ride Park Update π§
We know everyone is excited to get back out on the trails β and trust us, we are too! π€π² But Miller Moto Ride Park remains closed while important work continues to make the riding experience better, safer, and more sustainable.
A lot has been happening behind the scenes all winter and spring, with dedicated volunteers putting in countless hours to prepare the park for the season:
π¨ Several new trails have been developed, including the construction of multiple puncheons to help protect wet and low-lying areas.
π§ New barricades have been built to help keep riders on Miller Moto Trails property and protect surrounding areas.
πͺ§ Updated signage is being installed to improve directional flow and highlight trail connectors.
π² A major new connector trail is planned for this summer, creating a link between the Pro and Intermediate trails through the meadow.
πΊοΈ Updated trail mapping is underway to help riders navigate the expanded system.
π Daily volunteer work continues, with active equipment and ongoing improvements happening throughout the park.
Opening the trails too soon would undo a lot of the hard work that has gone into building and improving the network. We appreciate your patience and your support while these projects are completed.
We promise β it will be worth the wait! π
Stay tunedβ¦ weβll let you know as soon as Miller Moto Ride Park is ready to open for riding. ποΈπ¨

π² South Alton Ride Park is NOW OPEN! π²
A huge shoutout to the incredible volunteers who came together to make this happen! This is what happens when our riding community rolls up their sleeves and gets to work. π
A massive thank you to:
πΉ Brandon Curry
πΉ Colin Banks
πΉ Stuart Buck
πΉ Adam Acker
πΉ Kevin MacRae
πΉ Cory Kowalyk
πΉ Dean Harris
πΉ Mark Sinclair
πΉ Patrick Foote
πΉ Susan Foote
This crew spent time over a couple of days clearing deadfall and trees from the main trails to get the park ready for riders.
We also have some exciting progress happening on the youth track! A big thank you to Brandon Curry for designing and laying out the new kids track, along with Susan and Les Doherty from LRD Excavation for their expertise and support.
Patrick Foote put in a huge effort, single-handedly clearing the entire new track with a spacing saw, while Colin Banks and Brandon began falling marked trees to make room for equipment and the next phase of development.
The landowner was on site and very happy with the progress β another great example of our members working together to make things happen. πͺ
A reminder for riders: please avoid the lower section of trails when conditions are wet. Help us protect the trails so we can continue enjoying this riding area.
Thank you to everyone who showed up with saws, ideas, and a willingness to help. Our parks exist because of our volunteers! ππ²
South Alton is open β enjoy the ride!
