This cute little guy is an Irukandji jellyfish. Despite its tiny size (0.8-1.4 inches), this bad boy packs a punch! This jellyfish possesses a particularly venomous toxin that can produce Irukandji Syndrome in humans which can sometimes result in death.
They have four thin tentacles that extend from the corners of the bell and can stretch up to 3.3 feet long!
They are found mainly in the warm coastal and reef waters of Northern Australia. They are most commonly found there during the warmer months, from November to May.
