The hunt is on! The horses left a few more shoes around the city when they left for vacation so we have extended the hunt to the end of August!

Three golden horseshoes have already been found... 47 are still waiting to be discovered! 👀 If you've found a shoe, reach out via socials or email [email protected] to let us know!

🏕️And just like that, they're off for the Summer holiday! The Horses of Halifax have moved out of the city for their annual summer vacation! Our athletes and some staff are lucky enough to join them for two-weeks of country-side bliss in Salmon River!

While the horses all enjoy vacations throughout the year, this is the only time of the year where all 29 of them are out of the barn! That gives other staff and our fantastic dedicated volunteers the opportunity to clean the barn from top to bottom!

We will share updates from their vacations as we get them! We can't wait to welcome them back in two-weeks time! ☺️

🐴Join us to celebrate Bud’s retirement!

Bud, one of our longest-serving Horses of Halifax, is heading into a well-earned retirement this September, where he’ll continue touching lives through wellness programs in the country side. He will be cared for by an old Lancer, who has dreamed of retiring him by her side since she was a little girl.

For 25 years, Bud has shaped riders, volunteers and visitors who came through our barn. He has influenced thousands of lives here in Halifax. Come celebrate him with us this Sunday at the downtown horse show, ~12pm during the lunch break. Share a story, a memory, or just a scratch behind the ears. Everyone is welcome. 💛
