Happy Pride! 🏳️‍🌈
In June, we celebrate Pride. Everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued. Horses don’t judge—they respond to trust, kindness, and authenticity. This Pride Month, we celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and the lessons our horses teach us about openness, inclusion, and acceptance. ❤️💛💚💙💜

🌾Hay is for Horses 🌾and we need your help! We are expecting a hay delivery this evening at 5:30pm and are in desperate need of more volunteers! Our hay comes as 50lb compressed bales and we get a whole tractor trailer load. This is hard, dirty work but we've got to do it! Skip the gym and join us at Halifax Lancers at 5:30pm to help fuel the Horses of Halifax!

Please give a warm welcome to the newest member of the Horses of Halifax herd - Wasuet (wah-su-et) 🌸. Our newest horse was named by Mi'kmaq community members and knowledge holders who have met her and learned about our shared values. This name represents resiliency, growth, new beginnings, and connection to all living things. Wasuet (wah-su-et) means blossom. Since her arrival, Wasuet has shown us her sweet and willing disposition. She happily makes friends with all the horses and humans that come her way. We look forward to learning more from Wasuet as she continues to blossom here at Lancers. Welcome, Wasuet!

Lancers has been built over 90 years by dedicated people who have come together sharing their love of horses and contributing volunteerism and leadership which enables generations to pass on their legacy of building better lives through horses.

We share our deepest sympathies to the family of Vernon Krause, including Lancer alumni Margy and Shauna, who contributed so much to our community as a former President of the Board of Directors and passed away last week. Thank you for your service to Lancers past, present, and future.
