🇨🇦🥈 MAG NATIONAL SILVER ALL AROUND MEDALIST 🥈🇨🇦

A huge congratulations to Oliver on an incredible Canadian Championships!

After a season that included its share of challenges, Oliver rose to the occasion when it mattered most, earning the title of 🥈National Silver All Around Medalist🥈 and securing his place among Canada’s top Novice gymnasts.

Day two brought the Event Finals, where Oliver added two more national medals to his collection:
🥉 Bronze on Pommel Horse
🥉 Bronze on High Bar

But what makes us proudest isn’t just the medals.

At Nationals, athletes experience the highest highs and sometimes the toughest lows. After an incredible first day, Oliver faced disappointment during Event Finals on his stronges event.

When things are going well, coaching is easy. When things aren’t, that’s when great coaches make the biggest difference. Coach Michael helped Oliver reset, refocus, and put one routine behind him so he could focus on the next challenge ahead. Instead of letting one difficult moment define the rest of his day, Oliver stepped back up and went on to earn a National 🥉 Bronze Medal on Pommels. 

That’s resilience. That’s character. And that’s the life lesson we all get from sports.

A special thank you to Coach Michael, whose steady leadership, patience, and belief in his athletes continue to shape this program. Through long training days, busy competition seasons, successes, setbacks, and everything in between, he consistently helps our athletes become not only better gymnasts, but better young people.

The medals are impressive, but we’re even prouder of the athlete and young man Oliver is becoming and the MAG program we get to have at Rideau.

Months of preparation.
One chance.

It’s exciting and terrifying all at once. You’ve spent countless hours preparing for a routine that lasts only a few seconds. Then suddenly it’s your turn, and all you can do is trust yourself, trust your training, and go.

That’s what Nationals feels like. And our athletes gave us so much to be proud of. ❤️🖤

A special shoutout to Lorenzo, who qualified for Nationals but was unfortunately unable to compete due to injury. We are incredibly proud of the dedication, hard work, and preparation that got him to this event, and we know he’ll be back stronger than ever. 💪❤️🖤

And of course, a huge shoutout to .chaves and . ❤️🖤 Behind every Nationals athlete is a coach who has spent countless hours spotting, correcting, encouraging, troubleshooting, celebrating, and occasionally finding creative ways to convince athletes that “just one more turn” is a good idea. 😄 Thank you for your dedication, expertise, and for helping our athletes reach this milestone. We couldn’t be prouder of this team.
