For years Mike was doing everything he thought he should be doing.

Cardio, effort, consistency. And the physique he actually wanted just wasn’t happening.

He’s a teacher and a father in his 40s with a packed schedule - and he’s now in the best shape of his life.

What makes this even more striking is that Mike is almost exactly the same bodyweight in both photos.

He didn’t just lose weight.

He stripped stubborn body fat while building a lean, strong, muscular physique underneath it.

We got him training four days a week on a proper strength focused programme, dialled in his nutrition with precision, and kept him accountable every step of the way.

The effort was always there.

It just finally had something solid to attach to.

Now friends and family are noticing.

He’s turning heads in the gym.

And more than any of that, he carries himself differently - because he knows the work is paying off.

This is what happens when effort finally meets structure.

Please show Mike some love in the comments 👊

Great week of b***y building 🍑

No seriously though , really enjoyed my near-full week off after my strongman comp last weekend

Worked a ton on my car, made some serious visual progress with it (mechanical comes next week!!!) and took it out for a couple spins

Got back into the groove of training by hitting a session with my wonderful wife following her lead on Saturday

Looking forward to the week ahead - dive back into proper training for stone lifting in Ireland come August and next years strongman season

Plus getting my car ready for its first track day coming up 💪🏻

I want to talk about something a bit uncomfortable.

Because I reckon most driven men have done this.

It’s late. You’re tired.

Something’s happened that day that’s made you feel stressed.

And you find yourself Googling. 📱

“How to drop fat fast”.

“Best chest exercises for man b***s”

“How to build muscle without gaining fat ”.

And you already know the answer isn’t in there. 🤷🏻‍♂️

You’ve been here before. You know how this goes.

You’ve read the articles, tried the plans, downloaded the apps.

So why are you still searching?

Because it’s not really about the information.

👉 It’s about the feeling.

The frustration of trying and nothing sticking.

The quiet exhaustion of thinking about this every single day.

The hope that somewhere out there is something that finally makes this feel less hard.

I had a client describe it to me once as “looking for a trapdoor.”

Not a solution. A way out of the feeling.

And I thought... yeah. That’s exactly it.

No search result fixes that feeling.❌

And every plan that promises to be the fastest, easiest, most painless option is aimed directly at that feeling, not at what you actually need.

What you actually need is something that removes the conditions that keep sending you back to the search bar at 11pm.

That’s what The Kaizen Tribe is built around.

✅ One reliable system to take all of the guesswork away and remove all that doubt.

Does that resonate? I’d love to hear about it in the comments 👇

You don’t need to “keep the body guessing” 😵‍💫

You need to master these 5 that will add size and strength from head to tow.

1️⃣ Squat
Hits the full lower body.

Every muscle working together the way it should.

2️⃣ Deadlift
You want to be “functional”?
Pick heavy weight off the floor.

That’s real strength that will actually bullet proof your back when you do it right.

3️⃣ Overhead Push Press

Builds wide shoulders and develops power and explosiveness through your legs

4️⃣ Pull Ups

Can’t do them yet? → you need to drop some fat and get leaner, simple as that.

Can do them? → Great, add weight

These build a wide back and bonus points for hitting some biceps!

5️⃣ Shoulder-width Bench Press

This tweak on grip helps to build thick triceps and big arms while still working chest.

❌ You don’t need 20 exercises or even any fancy “new” ones.

✅ You need a handful that actually move the needle.

Want my 4-day Powerbuilding program to build muscle and real strength?

You want to know what’s real?

Bank accounts and physiques.

You can fake a lifestyle on social media. You can’t fake a body you’ve actually built or a business that’s genuinely profitable.

Start listening to the podcasts of men who are actually winning in business - not performing winning, actually winning - and you realise fast they all came from nothing.

Different industries, different paths, but the same story underneath. Trauma, setbacks, doubt, obstacles. And they just kept going regardless.

🔑 But here’s the part nobody talks about. They didn’t wing it. Behind every one of those men is a plan, clear targets, and usually a mentor or coach who held them accountable when they wanted to quit.

It’s exactly the same with getting in shape and getting strong.

Any lad can get juiced up and look the part for a few months. Any businessman can scam people or ride a lucky break short term.

💪🏼 But the men worth paying attention to? They had a system. They had support. And they showed up for it consistently, through the setbacks, the slow periods, and the moments nobody was watching.

That’s not luck. That’s not genetics.

That’s just commitment to the right work, with the right structure behind it. 🎯

Long term is the only game worth playing.

Big mistake men make… trying to bulk when they’re already carrying too much body fat.

👉 If you do not at least have a blurry, cloudy 4 pack under good lighting, you have no business “bulking.” In most cases, that is just a recipe for getting fatter while telling yourself it is progress.

That does not mean you cannot gain muscle until you get lean.

Inside the Kaizen Tribe we’ve shown again and again that men can build muscle while dropping body fat when the approach is right.

✅ Eat around maintenance calories.
✅ Hit roughly 1g of protein per lb of bodyweight.
✅ Fuel hard training.
✅ Progress your lifts.

Let muscle gain, better performance, and consistency drive the change.

The best part is this… even if the scale goes down, you actually look bigger. 😎

When that layer of body fat comes off, your physique starts to show properly.

Narrower waist.
Broader shoulders.
Fuller chest.
Arms that actually stand out.
A stronger V shape.

You look like a man who trains. 💪🏼

Far better outcome than spending months “bulking” only to end up softer, heavier, and disappointed.

If you want help dialling this in for you, DM me the word KAIZEN.

Most men trying to lose their belly and man b***s need to hear this. ‼️

You cannot starve your way to a physique that looks solid, strong, and healthy.

👉 If I had a dollar for every man who told me he’s fasting, eating one meal a day, living on less than 2000 calories, or following some extreme setup, I’d be a rich man.

👉 If I had a dollar for every man doing that who actually built a physique other men would aspire to, I’d be broke.

I understand the appeal. You want the fat gone, and preferably yesterday.

But starving yourself is usually a short term play to make the scale move, not a long term strategy to build muscle, look sharp, and feel good.

💪🏼 If you want to get lean and stay lean, muscle is the key.

Muscle helps drive metabolism. It gives your body shape. It lets you eat more food while still progressing.

It makes you look athletic instead of just smaller.

🏋🏻‍♂️ And muscle is not built by underfeeding yourself. It is built by giving your body enough quality food, enough protein, and a reason to grow through hard progressive training.

That means eating to perform, recovering properly, and getting stronger over time. 🥩

Inside the Kaizen Tribe I coach 47 men right now. Not one of them is surviving on starvation calories. None are fasting their way to success.

The lowest intake is above 2250 calories. Some are over 4000.

And they’re getting leaner, stronger, fuller, and more energized by the week. 🔥

That is the shift most men need to make.

Stop asking, “How little can I eat?”

Start asking, “How well can I fuel the body I’m trying to build?”

Third strongman competition ✅

Battle at the Brink, Niagara Falls

Competed in the u90kg / 198lbs category after a small 8lbs cut

Events:

1. Log press:
I was most nervous for this event as the opening weight was my PR at 220lbs which I hit relatively comfortably, but the next weight at 240 was a step too far.

I finished tied for 2nd on this 🥈

2. Duck walks - I felt this event went well and I performed to the best of my ability - but still, not fast enough and was 4th out of 4 guys 🦆🐌

3. Deadlifts:

I hit all reps of the 465lbs relatively comfortably, and got 2nd on this 🥈

4. Fire hydrant carry max distance in 1 minute with 200lbs

I was happy to be able to run out the clock without stopping, but the legs just didn’t have the endurance to maintain a quick pace - I was taking huge breaths trying to stay conscious and walking with wobbly legs at the minute mark.

Again I was pleased with at least performing to the best of my ability but was beaten on distance by the other men in my class 🧯🐌

5. Ball Toss

All we knew in training was “heavy ball toss”, guys (myself included) were just messing around trying different techniques in the warm up area everybody just sorta had a shrug the shoulders and see how it goes attitude.

First throw wasn’t my best as it sorta rolled out of my hand on release, second throw was more what I was going for.

Still, 4 / 4 here 👎

Overall I finished 4th out of 4 with only a half point between me and third and 2 points between me and second.

First place was streets ahead and a super athlete, provincial champion at just 21 years old.

Hats off to all my competitors 🤝

Strongman continues to humble me, but ill be back - bigger , stronger , faster 😎⚡

Thanks to my wonderful wife for all her support and a fun weekend in Niagara

And my coach Taylor I’ve never been happier in my training and he has brought me on leaps and bounds - I know together we will continue to progress and I’m coming for that podium 📈

Coaching isn’t throwing someone into the deep end and hoping they can swim. 🏊

That’s the only way I can describe what happened to a client of mine with his previous coach.

He’s a father of 3, travels all over the world for work and has a super hectic schedule.

This “coach” threw him into a 6 day per week gym program.

A nutrition plan a gourmet chef would struggle to make, everything prepped from scratch right down to the sauces. 😳

No support. No education. ❌

And then when he couldn’t keep up and fell behind…

It was “his fault” he didn’t get results. 🤦🏻‍♂️

“He didnt want it bad enough.”

Now sometimes that might be true, but it definitely wasn’t in this case.

This man had high standards across the board and plenty of drive.

But the plan was absolute fu***ng nonsense for a man with real responsibilities on his plate, as most self respecting driven men do.

👉 Now he’s on a 4 day per week gym program, no marathon sessions, and a nutrition plan that actually works with his on the go lifestyle, paired with more education and support than hes ever had.

🏆 A recipe for success.

Any fu***ng idiot can hand you some insane generic plan.

Real coaching recognizes that more is not better.

‼️I don’t have a single man I coach training more than 4 days per week, and nor do I.

Real coaching is getting the best possible results in the most efficient way possible so you can still dominate the other important areas of your life.

Career.
Family.
Life.

Thats what the Kaizen Tribe is all about. 🔥

Every man says they want something sustainable.

But almost no one designs for it.

Because sustainable sounds boring. 🥱

It sounds like settling.

Like doing less than you’re capable of.

So instead, driven men design plans for results.

Fast ones.

Visible ones.

The kind that needs a ton of effort from them.

And then real life happens. 👀

Suddenly… the diet’s fu**ed.

Training’s out the window.

Habits have slipped.

🤦🏻‍♂️ And you’re beating yourself up for not sustaining something that was never sustainable.

Sustainable SHOULD look like:

👍 It’s the meal that’s good enough, not perfect.

👍 It’s the 30-minute session when the hour wasn’t available.

👍 It’s the week you held on imperfectly and kept going anyway.

👍 It’s the approach that works on a hard week, not just a good one.

Sustainable isn’t a lower standard.

It’s a smarter baseline. ✅
