We are happy to announce that the Orillia Recreation Centre will reopen to the general public for drop-in programs on Monday March 15, 2021.

Monthly Fun Pass Holders
As a reminder for monthly Fun Pass holders, your membership was cancelled as of December 24, 2020 and a pro-rated refund was placed onto your account. You will be required to sign-up for another membership (Fun Pass). You can do this by visiting www.orillia.ca/sun. If you signed-up for a Monthly Fun Pass in anticipation to the previous 2021 opening, it is still valid. A pro-rated refund will be placed on your account.

Annual Fun Pass Holders
For annual Fun Pass holders, your membership is still valid and a credit will be placed on your account based off the reopening date. All credits will be issued back to your account. If you wish to have your refund issued back to the original method of payment, please email [email protected].

Registering for Drop in Programs
Registration for drop-in programs will begin on Friday, March 12 at 8:30am. Please be advised we have updated our registration process. Attached to this email is a document outlining the steps for registration. You can also visit www.orillia.ca/sun to watch a step-by-step video. Please remember spaces are very limited; only register for drop-in programs you know you can attend.

Spring Registered Programs
Don’t forget to mark your calendar, as our spring session is fast approaching! Spring program registration begins on Monday, March 22, 2021. Programs begin on Saturday, April 17.

Are you curious about one of our upcoming spring programs? Why not 'Try it on'? Sample one of our upcoming registered programs by joining us for a trail class between April 5 – 11. Registration fees apply.

Aquatic Leadership courses for 2021 will open Thursday, March 11, 2021. Sign up now to start your training to become a Lifeguard/Swim instructor. Enjoy a rewarding job with amazing people and flexible hours, while helping people in your community stay safe.

Due to the 28-day province-wide shutdown, the Orillia Recreation Centre, Brian Orser Arena and Rotary Place are closed to the public until at least Jan. 23. All recreation programs and drop-in programs and facility rentals are also suspended during the shutdown. Read more at Orillia.ca/SUN
