🥍 Sixes Lacrosse is Coming to Orillia! 🥍

The Ontario Lacrosse Association’s Sixes season runs from August 17 to October 18, with divisions available from U9 through U19.

🏆 Provincial Championships: October 17-18 in Hamilton.

Before registering, families should carefully consider their ability to commit to the full 8-week season, including the potential for Provincials.

We’re currently gauging interest to determine which Orillia Lady Kings teams we can offer this fall. Teams will only be entered if there are enough committed players to fill a roster. (OLA has indicated rosters will consist of up to 15 players, including one goalie.)

What a weekend. ❤️🥍

Despite smoky skies, changing schedules and plenty of last-minute adjustments, our Orillia Lady Kings showed resilience, determination and represented our club with pride at the OWFL Provincial Championships.

This weekend, six of our teams took to the provincial stage:

❤️ U13
❤️ JEWL

Three of our teams earned the opportunity to compete in the A Division, a tremendous accomplishment and a testament to the hard work they’ve put in all season.

We’re also incredibly proud to celebrate bronze medal finishes by our U9-2 and U11-2 teams. Congratulations on bringing home hardware!

To every player, coach, manager, volunteer and parent, thank you for everything you’ve invested in this season. You represented the Orillia Lady Kings with class, heart and pride every step of the way.

The season isn’t over yet! Our U15 team heads to Provincials in two weeks, and we can’t wait to cheer them on.

🚨 OWFL Provincial Championship Update 🚨

Due to the high-risk air quality forecast, the OWFL has made several changes to this weekend’s Provincial Championships to help keep everyone as safe as possible.

JEWL
📍 Moved to Trent University (Kawartha)
🗓️ Friday, July 17 & Saturday, July 18
• Semi-finals: Friday evening
• Gold Medal Game: Saturday afternoon
• Consolation games and relegation game: Saturday
• No Bronze Medal Game

U9, U11 & U13
📍 RIM Park, Kitchener-Waterloo
🗓️ Sunday, July 19 only
• No games on Friday or Saturday
• Single-elimination tournament format

The U11 Development Festival has also been relocated, with the new venue to be announced within the next 24 hours.

The revised schedule will be posted as soon as possible. Please check the OWFL Playoff website for the latest game times and field locations.

We know these changes are disappointing and appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility as the league works to provide a safe Provincial Championship experience. Our thoughts are also with everyone impacted by the ongoing wildfires.

What a perfect way to finish the summer with championship games, plenty of laughs, lacrosse, and even some fun with water balloons! 💦

To every player who stepped on the field this season, thank you for your enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and willingness to learn. We are so proud of how much you’ve grown, both as lacrosse players and as teammates.

A huge thank you to our amazing coaches, volunteers, and sponsors. Your time, energy, and support are what make House League possible, and we couldn’t do it without you. An extra special shout out to our Director of House League, the incredible Denise Lynch Lacroix. She is the one that keeps OLK house league running like clockwork! 👏

To our families, thank you for cheering from the sidelines all season long. We hope everyone had as much fun as we did.

It’s been incredible to see so many young women out on the field every Monday night, building skills, confidence and friendships. From the first whistle to the last, the growth this season has been amazing to watch. We’re so proud of every player who came out, worked hard and gave it their all!

🥍❤️ OLK Rep Weekend Recap ❤️🥍

Another weekend of competition in the books for our Lady Kings teams!

🔴 U9-1 battled hard in a pair of tough matchups, falling to Owen Sound and narrowly missing a win in a 9-8 game against Oshawa.

🔴 U9-2 continued to gain valuable game experience against Owen Sound and Kawartha.

🔴 U11-1 faced strong competition from Oshawa and Mimico this weekend.

🔴 U11-2 split their games, earning a hard-fought 13-11 victory over Kawartha after falling to Newmarket.

🔴 U13 continued their impressive season, Owen Sound 8-5 and St. Catharines 13-1.

🔴 U15 competed in a pair of close contests, dropping a 13-9 decision to St. Catharines and a one-goal game against Oakville, 9-8.

🔴 JEWL had the weekend off and will be back in action soon.

🥍 Weekend Recap 🥍

Another competitive weekend for the Orillia Lady Kings as our rep teams continued league play in week 3.

🔴 U9-1 dropped games to Oshawa and Orangeville but competed hard against two strong opponents.

🔴 U9-2 faced tough matchups against the Beaches and Mimico.

🔴 U11-2 earned a tie against Oshawa 3 before falling to Mimico in their second game of the weekend.

🔴 U13 picked up a strong win over the Beaches and battled hard in a loss to Oshawa, one of the top teams in the league.

🔴 U15 enjoyed a bye week and will return to action next weekend.

🔥 JEWL put together an impressive weekend, defeating Oshawa, Kitchener, and Kawartha while earning a tie against Owen Sound. The team now sits third in the standings with a record of 4 wins, 2 losses, and 1 tie.

With the season well underway, our teams continue to be tested against some of the province’s best competition. We’re looking forward to seeing what the next weekend brings 🥍 👑
