A few weeks ago, while Jake was busy sharpening skates, our City Councillor, Steve Desroches, stopped by while out canvassing in Findlay Creek. They had a chance to chat about our little family-run business.

What started during the pandemic as a way to help our community stay active and get outside has grown into something we’re really proud of.

A big thank you to Councillor Desroches for taking the time to stop by and recognize our small business and talk to us about all the things he is working on to make our community better.

And an even bigger thank you to our amazing neighbours and customers who continue to support Clarke Crew Skate Shop. We’re grateful to be part of such a great community! ❤️

It was great to run into Findlay Creek resident Jake Clarke to learn about his family-run business sharpening skates.

Their business, called Clarke Crew Skate Shop, sharpens hockey and figure-skating skates to make sure our local athletes can play at their best!

During these uncertain economic times, supporting local Canadian businesses matters more than ever. Shopping locally helps support local families, entrepreneurs and our community.

Thank you to Jake for sharing your story and for providing this valuable service to local skaters. It is always encouraging to see neighbours turning their passion and skills into a family-run business that serves the community.

If you need to get your kid's skates sharpened for the upcoming season, give the Clarke Crew a call!

We wanted to share an important update with our Clarke Crew community.

For the first time since starting Clarke Crew Skate Sharpening in 2020, we will be making a small price adjustment to help offset rising costs and continue delivering consistent, high-quality sharpenings.

Effective January 15th:
⛸️ $8 per pair
⛸️ $60 for a 10-pair sharpening pass

We are incredibly grateful for the support, loyalty, and trust you continue to show us. Supporting local families and athletes is at the heart of what we do, and we look forward to many more seasons on the ice together.

As always, thank you for choosing Clarke Crew ⛸️

Support a Local School Skating Program!

Barrhaven Public School has started an amazing skating program, bringing kids skating, many for the very first time!

To make this program accessible to all, they’re collecting gently used skates for students who don’t have their own.

Sizes most needed: 2-5 youth/adult (if you have others, we can gather those as well).

If you have any skates to donate, you can drop them off, and we’ll make sure they get to the local teacher here in Findlay Creek to distribute to the school.

Let’s come together to make this program a success! Thank you for your generosity!
