🌼Sunday May 31st 🌻10am meet up!
Congratulations to all of you who ran in last weekend. For those of you who are up for a long run 🤷♀️this will be an out and back so feel free to run as far, and at whatever pace you are wanting to run.
10am Sunday and do the distance you are comfortable with 🌞 You've got this!!! 💪
Multi Use Pathways Route: Headed North to the River Pathway, run down the pathway towards downtown, and turn around at the distance you feel. The 15.6k turn around point is at the Deschenes Rapids Lookout to give a landmark. if you're up to running further you are more than welcomed to as well.
🔗Out and Back Route: https://connect.garmin.com/app/course/345422782
Please download the map so you know where to go, or run with your phone so you can find your way back. As always, feel free to run your own route, or start at a later time. Due to the distance of these runs, make sure to bring water and fuel (energy gel/bar/any carbs) on your run. You should be consuming between 30-60g carbs per hour of running.
*Run club activities take place on public roads, sidewalks, trails, and in varying weather conditions; participation is voluntary and involves inherent risks, including the risk of injury.*

What a lovely post Wednesday evening run we had. The sun was out for our run, then there was a surprise sun shower rainfall while we were all hanging out on the patio, which gave us a wonderful double🌈.
Thank you everyone who came out despite cranky, sore muscles, and we look forward to a wonderful summer of WoRuns.

🌻May 27th WoRun in the 🌞 May be a warm one!
Congratulation to everyone who participated in , whether it be running, racing, volunteering, or cheering (speaking of which those of you at Pretoria Bridge THANK YOU, on behalf of everyone, those cheers really help).
Thank you to Jean who's volunteered to pick up signs this week 🥰 your name will be put into a draw for a prize that will be drawn at the end summer. Each time you volunteer your name gets put in. If no one volunteers we won't be able to continue putting out signs for the summer trails.
5km route: Starts out the same as April’s route, follow Lynhar Rd until it ends. But instead of going left on Stinson Ave, we will go right. Left on Delta St., left on Evergreen Dr, and left into the trail. Entering the forest we will turn left and do a loop and return to the entry point. Since it is the first run of the month, we will have signage out guiding runners along, but only for the forested section.

10km route: Starts out with the 5km runners but will break off in the forest and continue all the way around Bells Corners, weaving in and out of the forest and neighbourhoods. There will be no signage on this route guiding runners once breaking away from the 5k route. Some sections may have small amounts of mud.

🌼🌻May flowers from those April showers🪻🌹May 13th brings us 10 days out from and we hope everyone is excited! Looks like we may have a rainy Wednesday, but 🤞 the temps stay cool for the next 10 days!
We also NEED volunteers to help with sign pick-up after our run. Please consider signing up for a week (or 2?) and your name will be put into a draw for a prize that will be drawn at the end summer. Each time you volunteer your name gets put in. If no one volunteers we won't be able to continue putting out signs for the summer trails.
*please note if anyone is wanting to do speed work at the track at Bell HS, you are also welcome to do so. Don't forget to come back to Whiprsnapr afterwards to socialize :)
