Happy September everyone! We've got a new trail/road hybrid route for the month. Please start bringing out your headlamps and lights as we will (unfortunately) need them soon.
6km Route: Starts out the same as many routes this past summer, we will be entering the trail off Evergreen Drive. Signage will be out to guide us on the trail section. But keep in mind that it will lead to us exiting the forest on Moodie Drive. After that just run North on Moodie, and take Old Richmond Rd all the way back to the industrial area near the brewery. Please study the map for further details.

10km Route: Also doing a hybrid trail/road route for September. I'm not going to explain the details, but basically the route takes us on a loop of Bells Corners. Please examine the map for details.

📢 "The (lights) talk"
So yes that means we need to start talking headlamps and lights. 🔦
September is the month where we start the month in sunshine, and end in the dusk.
Lights are important to running in the dusk and dark to both be seen, and to be able to see where you are going.
Throughout September we lose 13 mins of daylight each week! Sunset time of our last September run is at 6:44pm 🌠💫

Last Sunday Long Run of August!!! We're at that beautiful time of year when the mornings are so crisp and cool, it feels like you can go on forever after suffering in the heat all summer long! Should be a beautiful morning long run!
15k Long Run: August’s route is going to start out similar to last months route, but we will be hanging a right off Trail 26 to go over Moodie Dr., we will run through Beaver trail area, over to Lime Kiln ruins, back across Moodie, do a small loop in the Jack Pine trails, and then back to the brewery.

Please download the map so you know where to go, or run with your phone so you can find your way back. As always, feel free to run your own route, or start at a later time. Due to the distance of these runs, make sure to bring water and fuel (energy gel/bar/any carbs) on your run. You should be consuming between 30-60g carbs per hour of running.

It was a beautiful Wednesday evening for a run. The sun was out and the air was cooling off. The mosquitoes also didn't start bugging us on the patio till the sun was well set as well. Hope everyone had a wonderful evening and we will see you Sunday!
🫣Yes it's the start of 'the talk'... the headlamp and lights talk. September is the month where we start off in the light, and finish off in dark. If you don't know where your trusty headlamp and lights are it is time to start searching for them and throwing them into the car for Wednesday evenings. From this point forward we lose ~13 mins of daylight ever week. Lets stay safe out there everyone and we need lights to both be seen and to see! 🔦

5km route: https://connect.garmin.com/app/course/348634577

Well it was a wet one this morning, but of course we were also ready to head out and to get the run started - today was one of those days where getting out the door was harder than the actual run. Kudos 👍 to everyone!!! We were fairly waterlogged, but still full of smiles at the end.
