Sometimes we ask for an answer when what we're really seeking is reassurance.
When we're uncertain, it's natural to want someone or something to tell us:
“Yes, you're making the right choice.”
But guidance can offer something more valuable than reassurance.
It can help you explore why a decision feels difficult, what fears are influencing you, what matters most to you, and what perspective you may not have considered yet.
That is one of the ways I approach the Akashic Records.
The goal isn't to remove your ability to choose.
It's to help you understand yourself and your situation more deeply so your choice can come from a clearer place.
Guidance should support your inner wisdom, not replace it.
When you seek guidance, are you looking for an answer or a deeper understanding?

Today we honor Oshún.
In the Afro-Cuban tradition, September 8 is a day associated with honoring Oshún, Orisha of the river and fresh waters.
Oshún is associated with love, beauty, sweetness, joy, fertility, abundance, and prosperity, but her essence reminds us of something deeper too: softness should never be mistaken for weakness.
Her waters teach us to recognize our value, receive life's sweetness, and remember the importance of love, including the love we offer ourselves.
Today, we honor Oshún with gratitude, joy, and respect.
Maferefún Oshún.
May her sweet waters remind us to recognize the beauty within ourselves and appreciate the abundance already flowing through our lives.

If slowing down makes you uncomfortable, there may be a reason.
Have you ever finally had time to rest... and immediately felt like you should be doing something?
When you're used to being productive, responsible, or constantly available to others, stillness can feel unfamiliar.
You may start thinking about everything you haven't done yet.
But rest doesn't have to be earned.
Creating space to slow down can help you notice what your mind and body have been trying to tell you beneath all the noise.
You are allowed to pause without turning that pause into another task.

Today we honor Yemayá.
In the Afro-Cuban tradition, September 7 is a day associated with honoring Yemayá, the great mother whose domain is the ocean.
Yemayá represents the powerful balance between nurturing and strength. She is associated with motherhood, protection, wisdom, emotional depth, and the vast waters from which life emerges.
Like the ocean, her energy reminds us that gentleness and immense strength can exist together.
Today, we honor Yemayá with gratitude and respect for her protection, guidance, and maternal presence.
Maferefún Yemayá.
May her waters remind us of the strength we carry within and the importance of nurturing what we love.
