Nice Toys for future days with Charles Junior!
The good wife and I took time to scoop some items out of town in PoHo and Cobourg along with our favourite FishnChips part of the Bday celebrations..big Cake!
Old John Knight in a rare "on bike' appearance! A long sad story as to why this is so..He was sporting a library borrowed copy of my book the Bracelet (some gems in there!)

Darn Rain, really put the damper on work today, my day off (Hilarious eh!) I did feel guilty not donating a bike since Wed so I got my mechanics tool set out and got this donated by Janet Clarke co worker in Toronto ready to go. As I pulled up to Trinity I could feel the difficulty this group of folks are having staying warm and dry in the rain while I sit in the throne of a Cadillac! I know I earned it, we earned it and deserve it but it makes me wonder about the different Economic Humanitarian Groups we engage in during our daily lives.

Another day in Paradise, kept hopping right from the get go as Dev beat Eugene by five minutes to scoop the undervalued CCM Aluminium at $65, though choked Eugene settled for the Super Cycle SC1800 and we lowered the price to $60 to entice him and threw in a seat cover to soften the blow on his ride from Bailieboro to Millbrook to catch a bus into Ptbo, who knew there was a bus to Ptbo from Millbrook? Then Mike Levesque came by to drop off the coins for a bike we sent him out with last night with the words, "if he likes it, if it fits come and pay me tomorrow" an old move by John Tinney of Millbrook Auto Sales fame. Then a gramma Laurie came in for the Pink Princess small kids bicycle, knowing hte 16" wheels are the right size. Finished up with two inspections and a flat repair all before the steaks were done cooking and the storm rolled through..

Grateful for that which hcomes our way, these four from Dave Gallagher with respect, a man named Gary dropped off another bike a friend of Wayne Eardley, asked me to place it with an appreciative person which we will do when time allows..couple of sales today, both Mountain Bikes, good ones, a Norco and a Schwinn FSA, both rebuilt! thanks so much Jazzy and Margaret. At days end I was tired out moving all those bikes. whileaacting as Head Swami of the Beer Yoga association of Morrow Street, I managed to install the original Bongo Dave plaque on his bench, an honour to do so...

Ceraphine asked for a bike, we are always vigialant to being hustled so i asked her to come to our house and help with some light picking up and putting in green waste containers some dry vines that last weeks bike recipient Bill had pulled down from a bush as his contribution to a Free Bike. She along with Julia had the choredone in half an hour and agood job they did! I like this idea and will see if it mushrooms. You know, we usually just go out roaming at the usual places to donate bikes, with todays cost of petrol that may be a thing of the past, trying to Evolve with the times.

Lovely Day Off, out of the shoot at 8:30 en route to lagoon City and Bayshore Village to pick up a th*****me of a screen from India for the garden. i mistakenly went to lagoon City misunderstanding the directions and was glad to refresh my memory of this particular piece of Canadian Bohemia, where as Bayshore Village is nice, it has no character in comparison. The owner of the screens once he saw my card offered me a nice vintage mid level Bottechia racing bike which i jumped on. Part way down the road a person involved in the sale of the goods in the garage asked me to come back with the bike as it had been Sold on the weekend and a deposit taken. What the heck, i guess they weren't communicating properly, i took a photo to mark the ocassion.
Undaunted I knew why i preferred Lagoon City...In Omemee I took two photos of what Julia calls The Gumby Tree...I was eating lunch by 1:30 an the messages kept coming in to show bikes, so i opened up and sold a couple one to Vanessa and another to Natalie as well as fixed a flat tire and built a bike to pass the time. All on a Day Off!

Felt like Family Day at the shop, as my focus has been more towards younger bike riders, I find I have been really enjoying the interactions from the process, two little guys from the Strunk family went ballistic when i said it was "Freezie Day at Lumpy Bikes" followed by "it's also Sticker Day!" Gracious for that which comes our way!
