There are four different classes offered which include a tykes, beginner, adults & competitive Judo is a modern martial art and combat sport.
Its most prominent feature is its competitive element, where the object is to either throw or takedown one's opponent to the ground, immobilize or otherwise subdue one's opponent with a grappling maneuver, or force an opponent to submit by joint locking or by executing a strangle hold or choke.

Team BC has finished a week of training in Fiesch Switzerland, and even snuck a hike in! Seems a long way to go to see cows, but the view was stunning!
Headed to Paris for a final night and then back to beautiful British Columbia!

When you work hard, you get to play hard too! Some of the sights in France, including Dunes de Pilat, eating their body weight in oysters, and they even got some surfing in (with jesse documenting)!
Now they've arrived in Switzerland for the next judo camp!

PG Judo is working hard on the mats in France, and unfortunately with some injuries to show. Preston bounced right back but Jesse has his arm immobilized for at least a couple days. Proud of how hard they're working!

When in France!
FIFA game today, France vs Spain, and Team BC was in France cheering them on after a hard day of training! Even though France didn't win, still fun times to be had. 🇫🇷⚽️

And they're on their way! Sensei Aline, Jesse, and Preston (accompanied by Northern Capital Judo team mate Olivia)are on their way to train for 2 weeks in France and Switzerland! These 3 athletes worked incredibly hard to be invited on this trip, and even harder to raise the funds to pay for it! Thank you to everyone who helped support them along the way. Stay tuned for updates on the training camps and any fun they might get up to!

And that’s a wrap! After the tournament, we finished off with three great days of training alongside clubs from all over the country. A fantastic experience, lots of learning.
Thank you to everyone who supported and cheered us on, both in the stands and from afar. We truly couldn’t have done it without you!
