Shinmura Judo
Shinmura Judo is a volunteer-based organization registered with Judo Saskatchewan & Judo Canada. "JUDO MAKES PEOPLE"!
We work to promote the Olympic Sport of Judo and provide the opportunity to develop recreational, beginner, advanced and elite level athletes from ages 4 and up, in a fun and safe environment. Judo has a wide range of appeal a sport, an art, a discipline, a recreational past time, a social activity, a fitness program, a means of self-defense and a way of life. One of the distinguishing aspects of Judo is how its basic values and principles translate into a way of life.

What an incredible weekend at the Judo Sask Female Retreat!🥋
The weekend was filled with friendship, laughter, great food, and most importantly plenty of Judo. Day 2 was led by the talented and inspiring 2020 Olympic bronze medalist, Catherine Beauchemin-Pinard. Our girls had a fantastic time learning new skills, challenging themselves, and making lasting memories both on and off the mats.
To cap off a wonderful weekend, awards were presented on the final day of camp. We are proud to share that 3 of the 9 Shinmura Judoka in attendance were recognized for demonstrating the values of Jigoro Kano's Judo Moral Code:
🏅 Amaya – Honor
🏅 Brooklyn – Respect
🏅 Carly – Friendship
Congratulations to these athletes on their well-deserved recognition!
We are incredibly proud of all of our female Judoka, coaches, and parents who represented Shinmura this weekend. Thank you for your hard work, positive attitudes, and dedication to the sport. You represented our club with pride and excellence.
Keep up the great work, ladies! 👏🥋💚
Thank you to Judo Sask for hosting an amazing weekend for our girls, and to Catherine Beauchemin-Pinard for sharing her knowledge and teaching us some great Judo. Thank you to all the other coaches and volunteers who also made this camp a success. 👏💚

Judo Sask is proud to support Men’s Mental Health Awareness with their Mental Health Day initiative 💙
📅 Date: June 6
👊 Who can attend?
This event is open to all males connected to the judo community — athletes, brothers, fathers, and male support people.
🌐 Province-Wide Connection:
This year, both the North and South groups will come together through a shared Zoom session, helping connect participants from across the province. Everyone is encouraged to attend the Zoom session, whether participating individually or as part of a club group.
🎤 Zoom Session Highlights:
Guest Speaker: Brian Campbell
Featured Interview: NHL Goalie Connor Ingram
📍 South Group Plan:
Participants will come together in person at Prairie Storm Paintball from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
Following the Zoom session, the group will continue with paintball and pizza — because connection happens both on and off the mats.
