Meme Monday, anyone? Pickleball season is underway at SCCC, so come on out!

It’s pickleball season at SCCC and we’re kicking things off with a fundraiser tournament to support our very own Marina in her battle against breast cancer. Recent scans have determined that Marina’s cancer has evolved to Stage 4 (called metastatic cancer), meaning it has now moved to other parts of her body. Marina has been in consultation with medical professionals both in Canada and in Germany. Based on her findings, the highest rate of survival would come from receiving treatment in Germany, where the survival rate is 15-20% higher than the global average. Total out of pocket cost for the four treatment sessions required is $32,000+. All funds raised from this tournament will go directly to supporting Marina and her young family during this difficult time. Have you ever wondered what it looked like to curl in infrared? 👀 This was taken during the Tuesday Day Ladies league on March 24. Even with temperatures warming up outside, our ice maker is doing a great job at keeping the ice surface evenly cool for play! 🥌
