Simonds High School’s field is one of the busiest spaces in our East Saint John community. Each year, over 2,000 local athletes rely on it, with soccer, football, rugby and field hockey all using the field throughout the season.
Right now, there is a grass surface and no lighting, restricting how much the field can be used and heavily impacting player safety.
A $3.5 million investment in a community turf field with lights at Simonds High School will expand access, improve safety, and support the growing number of youth and community programs that depend on this space.
Together, let’s build something our community deserves.

Simonds High School - Field Fundraiser
"The improvements include a regulation size football field with improved wearing surface (turf field) and a grass training field. Both these would have improved subsurface drainage:"

🏈 Simonds High School Football Coaching Announcement! 🏈
We are excited to announce two key additions to our 2025 Simonds Seabees Football coaching staff:
🔥 Logan McNamee – Offensive Coordinator / Quarterbacks & Pass Game.
🔥 Tom Brow – Offensive Line & Run Game Coordinator
These two bring not only experience but also history. Logan and Tom grew up together playing football as kids in East Saint John, both attending Forest Hills School before becoming teammates at Saint John High School and Team New Brunswick. Their football journeys later led them to face off as competitors in U SPORTS, with Logan playing at Acadia University and Tom suiting up for St. Francis Xavier University.
Now, they’re teaming up once again to lead the Seabees' offence—combining their passion, experience, and love of the game to take the Simonds high Football program to the next level!💪🐝
Message from Head Coach Scott: We’re incredibly fortunate to have Logan and Tom joining our coaching staff this season!
Both bring four years of AUS football experience—Tom with St. FX and Logan with Acadia. Their deep knowledge of the game, leadership, and passion will be a tremendous asset to our program.
As teachers at the school, they’ll also have the chance to build strong, meaningful relationships with our players beyond the football field. I’m especially proud to coach alongside them, having been their first coach and watching them grow into the outstanding men and leaders they are today.
Big things ahead with these two on board!
Tom: I’m tremendously excited for this opportunity to coach Seabees football. I look forward to sharing my passion for football and growing the game while competing for a provincial championship.
Logan: I’m honoured to be joining this already great Seabees coaching staff as Offensive Coordinator this year. I look forward to working with this staff and putting our football team in a position to have success.
