Saint John Ultimate (SJU) organizes Ultimate Frisbee in Saint John, New Brunswick. Leagues are offered year round at all skill levels. Anyone is welcome to join.
Everyone is welcome in our league. Established in 1997, The Saint John Ultimate Recreational League, or S.U.R.L., organizes recreational Ultimate Frisbee in the Saint John, New Brunswick area year-round. Teams generally consist of 12-20 people in 6-12 teams, depending on the season. We follow the rules set forth by USA Ultimate. Week 4’s focus: Beat Perspective
The rule of Best Perspective is an asset in a game that remains self refereed.
Sometimes it is challenging to make the best call because you didn’t have the best viewpoint on the play (especially when you are part of the play). Best Perspective allows for players on the field, with the most clear viewpoint, to assist with a call.

What a fantastic day at Rothesay Community Fest! 🥏
It was amazing to see so many youth from the area trying new sports, learning some Ultimate throws, and having fun along the way. The excitement, curiosity, and smiles on so many faces reminded us why we love growing this sport.
Over the past few years, Saint John Ultimate has worked hard to create more opportunities for youth to get involved, and seeing the continued growth of our Youth & Junior programs has been incredibly rewarding.
We can’t wait to welcome even more young athletes to our community this summer 🤩

Another Intro League season has come to a close 👏🏼
26 players took to the field to develop new skills, friendships and a passion for the game. We are incredibly proud of the progress displayed through a short 6 weeks and can’t wait to see them join our summer/ fall rec leagues to further grow these skills
A huge thank you to our 6 coaches who worked tirelessly each week to plan, teach and encourage each player along the way. Leagues like these couldn’t exist without you
