Lakers Thunder Bay

Hello Lakers Families,

The Thunder Bay Lakers 9U Gold team officially wrapped up our 2025/2026 season this weekend with a fantastic exhibition series against the Superior Expos! It was an incredible experience for the kids, made even better by a joint barbecue with the Expos players and their families. They were truly wonderful, welcoming hosts. (I have attached a couple of pictures from the weekend below!)

This trip really highlighted how the Lakers organization is a true family affair. We had four separate sets of brothers traveling with us to Wisconsin this weekend, and every single one of them got out on the field to play.

As we close out this wonderful year, the coaching staff wants to extend a massive thank you to all of our players and families. Special thanks go to our incredible manager, Krista MacLean, for her endless support and organization, and to the entire Thunder Bay Lakers Organization for providing such a wonderful opportunity for our kids to grow, play, and build lifelong memories.
