“What has been your biggest success since you started your business?” is one of the toughest questions I’ve ever been asked! In large part because my definition of success isn’t easy to measure…

Influencing change; nurturing organizations where continuous learning is both valued and encouraged, where people are appreciated for their gifts, support each other, and everyone receives at least a living wage, is somewhat nebulous.

That being said, over the last 14 years, I’ve facilitated at least 100 workshops with organizations including government departments, colleges and universities, not for profits, and community groups.

The feedback I’ve received leads me to believe that my words are helping shape a more inclusive, equitable, and accessible future for every person in Canada.

This aligns nicely with one of my strategic partners, Naqsmist Storytellers Inc. purpose of “strengthening human capacity at every level.”

Here is a sampling of kind words that folks have shared after working with me:
• “I received lots of positive feedback from the team, including thoughts on items they can immediately put into action.”
• “Chantal has a tremendous skill in building community and connections.”
• “Chantal is diligent, deeply passionate, and brings a highly collaborative and inclusive approach to her work.”
• “Chantal … actively listens to everyone involved in collaborations and shows her appreciation for what each of us brings to the team.”
• “She is committed to helping build positive, more inclusive, and equitable workplaces.”

To my mind, the biggest success I’ve had is spreading ripples of change across Canada, by sharing what I know, and continually learning from others, helping to create a future where every person can achieve economic security and thrive.

Today, I’m celebrating 14 years as an entrepreneur, while looking forward to another decade focused on Cultivating Safe Spaces and strengthening human capacity.

A little bit more about me...

I believe that a safe space is one where people feel like they belong, are connected, and safe enough to show up authentically, quirks and all!

For example, a workplace where continuous learning is both valued and encouraged, where people are appreciated for their gifts, support each other, and everyone receives at least a living wage.
