With strong momentum across all distances, 2026 is shaping up to be our largest event yet as runners from around the world get ready to join us in Victoria this October.

Each year, the Royal Victoria Marathon brings together an incredible community of runners, volunteers, spectators, and supporters for a memorable Thanksgiving weekend on some of Canada’s most scenic race routes.

The runVictoria Online Training Group is a supportive space for runners preparing for the Royal Victoria Marathon. Inside the group, you’ll find training tips, encouragement, shared wins, helpful reminders, and a community of runners who understand the ups, downs, and excitement of getting ready for race day.

2026 Volunteer registration is officially open!

Join the Peninsula Co-op Royal Victoria Marathon Volunteer Team for the 2026 Royal Victoria Marathon, taking place from Thursday, October 8 to Sunday, October 11.

Every Royal Victoria Marathon weekend is powered by the people who show up behind the scenes, from package pickup and route marshalling to refuelling runners at the aid stations.

This year, more than 15,000 participants will take part across the Marathon, Outway Half Marathon, Westland Insurance 8K, Island Savings 5K, and Thrifty Foods Kids Run, and we rely on an incredible volunteer crew to help make the experience unforgettable.
