📣 Elk Lake Triathlon 2025 – Will Not Take Place This Year

It’s with incredibly heavy hearts that we share this update: the 2025 Elk Lake Triathlon will not take place this year.

While we were ready to adapt to ongoing water quality concerns, a sudden and massive increase in traffic management costs—$30,000-35,000—due to new District of Central Saanich municipal policy—has made it financially impossible for us to move forward this year.

This isn’t just a race. The Elk Lake Triathlon is one of Canada’s longest-running triathlons, built on passion, community, and joy of sport. Pressing pause this year is heartbreaking—but we’re not giving up.

We’re committed to finding a sustainable path forward so we can continue this legacy in the years to come.
