this is what it looks like before the studio even has walls — new faces + familiar ones, moving together because LEFT ON FRIDAY opened the door and let us bring Cocoon up to the roof with them.

There’s something fitting about arriving here, at forty-five, while Cocoon is becoming real.

This studio has lived in my imagination for a long time. Born from my own need for a softer way, and slowly shaped into a space I hope will allow others to feel held, challenged and met exactly where they are.

Building it has asked for a different kind of trust. To move forward before everything is certain.

To make the leap. To let something change shape as it comes to life.

Maybe that’s why the words in Metamorphosis found me at exactly the right moment.

Today, more than anything, I feel grateful. For another year. For this becoming. And for every person who has encouraged, shared, followed along, or believed in Cocoon before the doors have even opened.

This next chapter feels like a big one.

we’ll begin slowly with gentle lymphatic priming, waking the body and inviting flow before moving into an all-levels yoga practice with somatic touchpoints woven throughout.

i went quiet these last weeks.
a lot moved at once, against the desired flow.
instead of pushing through it, i acted in a way in which this whole studio is built on:

i returned.

came back to myself before i reacted.
chose the pace over panic.
chose not to perform my way through it.

that’s the practice - not once, but on repeat. i do it too.

we broke ground yesterday on framing.
this is the room you’ll walk into - built on purpose, at the pace it deserves.

a place to come back to.
again and again.

there’s still a lot ahead but this was a milestone , 14 months in the making.

i’m so ready to bring you along as Cocoon takes shape.
