The Whistler Core is Hiring! Front Desk Sales Associate with Climbing Experience

Are you passionate about rock climbing, fitness and helping others achieve their climbing and fitness goals? We’re looking for an energetic and motivated Front Desk Sales Associate with climbing experience to join our team at the Whistler Core.

Pay: $23–$25 per hour + bonuses & tips
Perks: ski pass, gym membership, training and mentoring opportunities
Location: Whistler Core Climbing and Fitness Gym – Whistler, BC
Hours: Full-time (32+ hours per week) or Part-time (16+ hours per week) – morning, mid-day, and evening shifts
Start Date: April/May 2026

What You’ll Do
• Greet and assist members and visitors while providing excellent customer service
• Handle membership inquiries, sign-ups, and front desk operations – including end of day cashouts/reconciliation and other closing procedures
• Instruct and supervise climbers of all skill levels
• Assist with planning climbing classes, programs, and events
• General climbing route maintenance
• Ensure safety protocols are always followed
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming gym environment

What We’re Looking For
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant experience in climbing
• Passion for climbing, fitness, health, and helping others succeed
• Customer service experience
• Sales and cash handling experience
• Positive, engaging attitude with members and guests

Yesterday was supposed to be a quick solo tour onto the Spearhead before work.

But a lucky run-in with local legends Brent Phillips—owner of —and , both Whistler Core members, changed the plan.

What followed was one of those rare days—perfect weather, beautiful lines, and incredible snow, shared with great company. A good reminder that sometimes the best days come from the unplanned ones.
