June 20th Open Reception for artist Gene Lotz’s exhibition ‘Resurrection’.

Meet Gene Lotz.

Artist. Author. Husband. Father. Grandfather.

Gene began his formal art education while working full time at Ford, eventually studying under influential Canadian artists Patterson Ewen and Ed Zelenak. After returning to Windsor, life led him in a different direction. He became an electrician, married Kathye, raised a family, and spent decades focused on being the best husband and father he could be.

After retiring, Gene returned to creativity through writing and illustrating books. That journey eventually led him back to painting, where he challenged himself to create something every day.

Those daily works became the foundation for Resurrection, a collection inspired by landscapes, storms, faith, memory, and the beauty of the natural world.

This is the artist behind the exhibition.
