Most people dream about adventures like this. Our friend and Bike Kitchen mechanic, Dean Berard, is out there making it happen.

Dean has begun riding the legendary Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (GDMBR), an incredible 4,300 km (2,700-mile) bike packing journey from Banff, Alberta, to Antelope Wells, New Mexico. The route is approximately 90% unpaved, follows the Continental Divide, and climbs over 200,000 feet of elevation. It's considered one of the world's most iconic and demanding bike packing routes.

Those of us who know Dean know that he's always willing to lend a hand, share his mechanical knowledge, and help others discover the joy of cycling - we truly appreciate his presence at the shop. Now it's our turn to cheer him on as he takes on this incredible challenge.

If you'd like to follow Dean's adventure, be sure to:
🚲 Follow him here on Facebook for updates from the trail.
📹 Subscribe to his YouTube channel: to watch his journey unfold.

Dean, all of us at the Bike Kitchen are incredibly proud of you. Ride safe, enjoy every mile, and know that your cycling community is following along and cheering you on every pedal stroke.
