If you have a little one who is learning to skate — or a young hockey or ringette player who could use more time on their edges, balance and skating skills — CanSkate is a great place to start.

At NorthStar Skating School, we focus on making skating fun, active and skill-focused, while giving kids the fundamentals they need to feel more confident on the ice.

We’re thrilled to offer a full lineup of programs this season:
⛸ CanSkate - Skate Canada's flagship program and Canada's best learn to skate program!
⛸ Adult and Tot Pre- CanSkate- This program allows the skater to receive hands-on assistance from a familiar family member
⛸ AdultSkate PowerSkate – for adults looking to refine skating skills for hockey, ringette, or the joy of skating.
⛸ AdultSkate Learn 2 Skate – open to all skaters age 16+ who have never skated
before, and for those who skated as children but may have been off the ice for
quite some time.
⭐ Intro to StarSkate – a transitional program for skaters moving beyond CanSkate with an interest in figure skating.
🌟 StarSkate – opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop figure skating skills in ice dance, free skate & more.
🌟 SynchroSkate – With teams ranging from eight to 16 skaters, synchro is all about teamwork and coordination. For skaters looking for a team experience!
🌟 SynchroSkate PLUS – Forty-Five minutes of Starskate (ice only) or 45 minutes of Intro to Starskate, plus 45 minutes of Synchro
