"As soon as I drew the bow back, everything settled into focus." 🏹✨

Manitoba’s youth archers just returned from a spectacular showing at the Pan American Youth Championships in Colombia. Between Acadia Flockton’s Gold medal performance and Laganjot Sandhu’s Silver, the future of Manitoba archery is brighter than ever.

But as Coach Sean Murray says, "Success cannot be measured solely by placements or medals." It’s about the lessons learned on the world stage. 🌎

Check out the full results and read about our athletes' experiences in Medellín in our latest feature article!

Ready to take your archery skills to new heights? Literally.

Attention all target, 3D, and field archers! Are you looking for a fresh challenge to test your precision? Join Manitoba Pole Archery for our First Flight Introduction Event and experience the thrill of vertical archery!

What is Pole Archery?
If you’re used to shooting downrange, it’s time to look up. Pole archery (or Popinjay) is a traditional European format where archers aim upward at a series of "birds"—colorful wooden blocks adorned with feathers—perched on a high mast. It’s a unique test of form, angle, and accuracy that offers a completely different perspective than horizontal shooting.

A Century of Tradition
This isn’t just any shoot—we are incredibly proud to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the St. Sebastian Pole Archery Club! To mark this milestone, St. Sebastian and their partner clubs are hosting a day of sport and community at the historic William Tell Park.

Whether you're a seasoned pro in other disciplines or just curious about this century-old tradition, come out and see if you can knock a "bird" off the pole!

🏆 First Flight Intro to Pole Archery: Event Details
📅 Date: Tomorrow! May 30, 2026
🕐 Time: 1:00 p.m.
📍 Location: William Tell Park | 625 Provencher Blvd, St. Boniface, Manitoba
💰 Entry Fee: $20.00

Registration Information:
Pre-registration is required to secure your spot. Don’t wait—register now by emailing [email protected].

Come celebrate 100 years of archery heritage and find your "First Flight." We’ll see you at the mast! 🏹✨
