The Master Bowlers Association of Manitoba held our 2026 AGM today in the lounge at St. James Lanes. Thank you to all that came out and participated in our meeting.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Board of Directors was thrilled and honoured to award Sherri Manek with a Life Membership in the Association for her immense contributions to the Masters on the Board and for her record of achievement at the Masters Nationals.

Sherri has been a Master for over 40 years and has served for nearly 25 years on the Board as the Master-Bantam-Junior Director, Senior Division Director, and as our Vice-president. In addition, she has served on the Manitoba Five Pin Bowling Federation Board as a Masters representative, volunteered for many years with YBC and Special Olympics, and has been involved as a volunteer for numerous National Championships.

Sherri was the co-chair of the highly successful 2024 Masters Nationals and was the Accommodations Chair for the 2006, 2014, and 2024 Masters Nationals. Sherri is a tireless worker for our members and was honoured in 2024 by the Master Bowlers Association of Canada with their prestigious Award of Excellence for Volunteerism and Dedication.

On the lanes, Sherri has represented us 12 times at Masters Nationals, winning 6 medals - 1 gold, 1 silver, and 4 bronze.

Congratulations on your well-deserved Life Membership, Sherri. Thank you for everything that you have done for all of us over the years.
