What a fantastic day at Amesbury Warrior 2026!

Every summer we open our doors and invite local boys and girls to come along, have fun and experience the basics of rugby through a range of games and activities designed for complete beginners. You don't need any rugby experience – just plenty of enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.

Once again, the children made the day what it was. Their energy, enthusiasm and smiles kept everyone going from start to finish and made it a hugely rewarding day for all of our coaches.

We were especially pleased to see so many new faces, and it's been great to hear how much the children enjoyed themselves. Even better, a number of parents have already been keen to register their children to join the club.

A huge thank you to every child and parent who came along and helped make the day such a success. Thank you also to our fantastic coaching team for delivering a brilliant programme of well-organised activities throughout the day.

And, of course, a special mention to our very own Chuckle Brothers who kept everyone fuelled with cold drinks and bacon butties from the kitchen!

Amesbury RFC Walking Rugby Squad enjoyed an excellent morning of rugby at the Marlborough Rugby "Man Down" Walking Rugby Tournament on Saturday, 1st August 2026.

Played under warm sunshine and beautiful summer skies, the conditions were perfect for a morning of competitive yet friendly walking rugby. Amesbury put in a series of strong performances throughout the tournament, demonstrating great teamwork, determination and sportsmanship against quality opposition.

The squad worked hard in every game, supporting one another in attack and defence, and represented the club with pride. As always, the tournament provided a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the spirit of walking rugby, meet new teams and strengthen friendships across the walking rugby community.

With the sun shining and smiles all around, it was a thoroughly enjoyable and successful morning for Amesbury WR, who can take plenty of positives from their performances as they look forward to the next tournament.
