CLINTON NSIALA DEPARTS RANGERS.

Everyone at the Con Club Loyal would like to wish Clinton Nsiala all the very best following his move to Sharjah FC.

It didn’t quite work out for Clinton at Rangers. He showed glimpses of potential, but ultimately we don’t feel he reached the standard required to play regularly for a club the size of Glasgow Rangers.

From a business point of view, though, we think this is a very good bit of business by the club. 👏

Nsiala arrived from AC Milan in 2024 on a free transfer, so we paid no transfer fee to bring him to Ibrox.

We’ve now managed to move on a player who just didn’t cut it, receive an undisclosed transfer fee in return and, importantly, free up his wage from the budget.

Whatever the exact figures involved, getting a fee back for a player we initially signed without paying a transfer fee, while also making further savings on wages, makes plenty of sense.

Credit where it’s due to the Rangers board for getting this one over the line.

Every pound saved or brought back into the club can now be put towards players who can improve the first team and help take Rangers forward.

What a week to be a Rangers supporter. 🔴⚪️🔵

Every one of those players went into Parkhead today with no Rangers support behind them, and delivered for the badge.

A 1-0 victory, a clean sheet, and now just TWO POINTS separating us from the Peados.

Massive credit to Derek McInnes. The pressure has been enormous, but he’s stood up to it and delivered. He’s got this Rangers side organised, believing and fighting for one another.

And the exciting thing is, we’re nowhere near our best yet.

There’s much more to come. Important players still to return from injury, others still finding their best form and a team continuing to grow together.

What a difference Dujon Sterling and James Penrice have made at full-back. Strong, aggressive, athletic and prepared to defend. Sterling has brought something completely different on the right from what we became accustomed to with Tavernier, while Penrice has brought real balance and energy to the left.

And Ryan Naderi what a big man. Is he the best striker at the club??

The goal won us the game, but his performance was about so much more. Holding the ball up, battling for everything, chasing lost causes and giving their defence absolutely no peace.

Is he becoming the striker Rangers have been crying out for?

Nobody should get carried away. There’s a long road ahead and plenty still to improve.

But there’s something growing in this Rangers team again, belief, togetherness and fight.

Two points behind. Back-to-back Old Firm victories. Players still to return. And plenty more to come.

And as the great Derek Johnstone has told generations of Rangers supporters….

I used to have a lot of respect for Donald Trump and supported plenty of what he stood for, but if he genuinely thinks he should be telling us he wants to see a united Ireland, he has seriously overstepped the mark.

Our future is not Washington’s, Dublin’s or anyones decision. It belongs to the people of Northern Ireland.

And spare me the lectures about the Good Friday Agreement. In my view, it has been deeply flawed from the beginning. I’m also tired of the convenient use of the word “dissident.” When republicans are arrested or convicted, journalists should be asking: when exactly did they become dissidents, what organisations were they previously associated with, and what evidence establishes when that separation happened? The label should never be allowed to shut down legitimate scrutiny.

Northern Ireland’s history is complicated, painful and certainly not the romantic republican story sometimes presented to the outside world. Trump should do his research and listen to all sides before commenting on our constitutional future.

I’m a Unionist and make absolutely no apology for it. I believe Northern Ireland is stronger within the United Kingdom, and I will defend that position democratically.

Ulster is not a bargaining chip.
