🍒🍒 3 points secured 🍒🍒

Yesterday the ladies travelled the short distance in a competitive match with Tickon.

The first half saw chances for both teams, and the cherries struggling to get a grip of the game.

A stern word from the angry Scottish at half time to focus on the football helped us come out the second half playing much better football with an incredible battle down the wing.

The ladies scored 3 great goals but Tickton stayed hot on our heels and got a goal for themselves.

🥇- MOTM went to Harley whose work rate dominated the game for the 90. Fought for everything, and bagged 2 goals & an assist.

🫏- MARE went to spenny for missing a sitter (and telling our strikers off for doing the same thing 👀) and also getting a ball to the face 🫣

🍒🍒 Clean sheet for the Cherries 🍒🍒

An absolutely unreal team performance from the Cherries yesterday against the reigning champions.

With fire in our bellies, from the first whistle the ladies took control of the game. Winning everything across the park and playing the best football we have played.

Neither team were able to find the back of the net in the first half meaning a big team performance needed to be had in the second half.

Within minutes into the second half, Laura K headed the ball home opening up the score lines.

The ladies continued to press, securing a second goal from Lauren.

The cherries saw the game out in spectacular fashion. Earning our first clean sheet of the season.

A performance to be proud of 🍒

🥇- MOTM went to Harley who was relentless for the full 90 minutes up and down the wing battling for everything.

🫏- MARE went to Lauren for falling over the ball 👀

🍒🍒 A win at home 🍒🍒

Yesterday the ladies fought hard to secure the 3 points.

Elloughton put a rocket up the cherries after scoring the first goal. The ladies were quick to react, with a well worked goal got us to 1-1 within minutes.

The ladies continued playing some great football, but unable to find the back of the net. Another wake up call was given after the opposition scored again from a free kick, which was then disallowed.

The second half the ladies battled across the pitch, gaining a second goal and then holding tight to keep the score line at 2-1.

🥇 MOTM - Nat, who had a phenomenal performance at the back, winning everything in the air and her 1v1 battles. Solid work for the full 90.

🫏 MARE - Harley, who fell more times then we can count.

🍒🍒 Away day victory 🍒🍒

A massive battle between the two teams yesterday, which saw end to end football across the full 90.

Both teams played some great football and competed very well.

The cherries took the lead after Jenny chased down a through ball and pressuring the keeper. Inglemire were quick to respond as their player dominated down the left.

Another quick attack from the opposition saw them go ahead 2-1. Moments later Karla scored an absolute worldie, top bins. Just before half time Inglemire had a free kick, heading for the top left corner, like superman Paris came out of nowhere, and tip the ball over. Taking us into the break 2-2.

The ladies fought hard to get their 3rd goal from Amy and managed to hold the score line for the last 15 minutes despite the constant dangerous attacks from Inglemire.

🥇 MOTM - shared between Laura K, who dominated the middle despite carrying a knock & Jess C for a brilliant defensive performance.

🫏 MARE - Lauren for being a t**t xo
