“Welcome to Clubbercise — where your instructor spends £200 on glow sticks just to shout ‘woo!’ over a 2012 dance remix while everyone collectively forgets what leg the grapevine starts on.
A Clubbercise instructor has two settings:
1. ‘You’ve got this queenssss!’
2. Aggressively squatting in your face while holding a headset mic together with pure sweat and determination.
They’ll tell you it’s ‘low impact options available’… then immediately launch into a routine that feels like you’re escaping a nightclub fire drill.
And why do they always know every single person in the room?

Meanwhile Sharon only came because she thought it was a wine tasting.
Clubbercise instructors really act like waving glow sticks makes burpees fun. Babe, I’m still fighting for my life — it’s just now I’m neon.
And the playlists? Absolute chaos.
One minute you’re emotionally healing to Cascada, next minute you’re doing lunges to a hardcore remix of the Ghostbusters theme tune wondering where your life went wrong.
“Clubbercise instructors after saying ‘last one!’ for the 14th time: 🕺💃😈
Honestly though, they deserve respect — keeping a room full of adults coordinated in the dark with glow sticks is basically event management, cardio, and crowd control combined.”
“‘It’s only a light jog!’
Meanwhile the instructor is sprinting round the room like Lara Croft searching for lost treasure while everyone else is trying not to cough up a lung and lose a glow stick.
And somehow they still have enough breath to yell:
‘SMILES EVERYONE!’

With a couple of Bank Holiday weekends coming up, I thought this might be helpful. 😀Not to be a killjoy — just a simple reminder, because sometimes seeing it laid out clearly makes all the difference.
If fat loss is your goal, staying in a calorie deficit is key. During the week, routine often makes things easier, but weekends can be where progress slips without realising.
A few extra meals, drinks, snacks, or “little bits here and there” can quickly add up and undo the hard work you’ve put in during the week.
You don’t have to avoid enjoying yourself — it’s just about awareness and balance.
Using a calorie tracking app like MyFitnessPal or Nutracheck can help you stay on track. Logging everything — including drinks and small snacks — gives you a clearer picture of what you’re actually consuming.
Enjoy the weekend, just don’t let it completely derail your progress.
