A tough scoreline, but one that doesn’t tell the full story of the game.

Today was a frustrating afternoon for Unity, as we created plenty of opportunities but simply couldn’t find the finish. Football can be like that sometimes — one team can dominate the chances, while the other shows incredible efficiency in front of goal.

Credit where it’s due: Blackpool Football Therapy were clinical, disciplined and took their opportunities extremely well. Congratulations to BFT on the result and thank you for a competitive game played in a fantastic spirit. 👏⚽

For us, there were still plenty of positives to take. The sun was shining, the warm-up was excellent, the effort was there, and there were some brilliant moments of football from both sides.

We’ll take the lessons, keep working, and come back stronger. Results like this are part of the journey, and they won’t define what we’re building at Unity FC. 🖤💗

WHAT A GAME!!!

Unity started really strong and took a 2-0 lead in at half time, early in the second half we doubled the lead to 4-0!!!!

Massive credit to Fylde Community though! As always our games are always well fought and provide great viewing for spectators, the visitors dug in and found a way to get back in to the game bit by bit and found themselves back in it at 4-3 with seconds to go..... a last gasp strike found them an equaliser to end the game level.....

To fall from a 4-0 lead may be worrying for teams but ar Unity we embrace it to learn lessons on how to move forward whilst giving all spectators a game worth watching.....

Today's game showed us our strengths and our weaknesses and will only make us stronger for the beginning of the ballers league 💪

MOTM - Michael Scobie

With no keeper today, Scobie took on the role of going between the sticks and he put on a great performance and rightly so deserves today's Man Of the match award.... its not easy playing in goal and he gave everything today 🩷🖤
