Blairgowrie Badminton Club

The first badminton session of 2025 is tomorrow, Thursday 9 January. We are not in the new in the new sports centre yet, so usual time and usual place. I hope to see you all there.

Great to see so many new faces on Thursday.

Another great night with 23 players tonight with some well fought games. Just a reminder that the club will be continuing during the Easter school break.

SUMMER SHUTDOWN
Tonight saw the last junior section session as they close down for the summer months. It has been great to see the section grow in numbers and all players knowledge and ability become better throughout the winter. Well done everyone.
Massive thanks to junior convener Sandi and her band of helpers for all that they have done in coaching and encouraging all the juniors regardless of their abilities.
Tonight we ended with a buddy up tournament where the kids were encouraged to bring along an adult to play with them in a fun tournament to officially close the season.
Fun you say!!!! Haha very competitive and some parents got a stiff talking to from the youngsters,, great night with six full courts in play.
Enjoy the summer and see you all on the last Wednesday evening in August when our section returns to action.

Hi all, you probably know I'm selling raffle and ceilidh tickets as part of my Cateran Trail walk fundraising in aid of Myeloma UK, and intend to bring some tickets to badminton tonight. If any of you would like to purchase some, please bring cash! Another fantastic turn out tonight six full courts in action with some really competitive games roll on next week.

Fantastic session at tonight's junior section. 12 youngsters on the courts led by Sandi, Andrew and Chris. Having watched and interacted with the majority of the youngsters tonight Club President Kevin had a long chat with them at the end of the session. Great to see 3 new youngsters joining us this evening and pleasing to hear that they wish to come back next week. Great to see the juniors progressing and enjoying the game. Well done everyone.

Club night resumes tomorrow between 7 till 9 at the centre. I hope to see you all there .

Well done everyone what a fantastic turnout last night. 28 players enjoying the session. Some good banter, good laughs and good play.
