We can help! Luckily, we have a limited number of spaces at our football camps over the next few weeks. We’re at Eversley & California FC and Wooden Hill School in Bracknell, where the footie fun will focus on the recent Euros and Copa America.

🆕 TOURNAMENTS 🆕 As it’s our last sessions this term, the focus at PPC this week is tournaments and fun games ⚽️💥
Players can look forward to small-sided matches and lots of fun as we round off what’s been another fantastic year at PPC. It’s been brilliant to see the development of the players over the past few months, and we look forward to seeing them putting what they’ve learnt into games this evening and on Thursday ⚽️
COME ON ENGLAND! 🏴
Predictions for tonight? 🇳🇱🏴 More Southgate-ball? Will we nick it on pens again? Will the Netherlands sweep us aside or will England FINALLY start playing well and perhaps be bringing it home on Sunday?! 🏆
FINISHING THE ATTACK 🆕 The focus at PPC this week is finishing the attack ⚽️💥
What wins football matches? Goals! At training this week we’ll be working on effective finishing, but also good attacking movement to get onto the end of crosses and through balls. Tactically we’ll be looking at the players’ decision making in the final third, whether that’s link-up play, creating space or how they finish.
Last Thursday, our U8s enjoyed a fantastic friendly fixture against Sandhurst. PPC’s development players ran out 7-2 winners. Head Coach, Elliott, commented “they played really well considering they’ve never played together before”.
The players at PPC have been following a structured development program for a number of weeks and months, and the rewards were there for all to see. This is testament to the work done by the coaches but also the players’ effort and willingness to learn and improve. Well done to all ⚽️👏
Our PPC Utd players, coaches and parents came together last weekend to enjoy a fun day of footgolf followed by their awards ceremony 🏆. The day was an opportunity to look back on the success of last season and reward the players for their brilliant efforts. We’re already looking forward to doing it all again next season! ⚽️🔥
The focus at PPC this week is OVERHEAD KICKS! Just kidding, not sure the local walk-in centre is geared up for quite so many broken bones in one go! Instead, we’ll be focussing on combination play – here’s hoping England will be doing the same before the quarter final 😳
To create openings and fluidity, it is then essential that players can move the ball quickly in tight spaces and combine to create openings. Players should time and coordinate runs off the ball to either create space for themselves or for a team-mate and allow forward play.
Receiving the ball in an open body posture is essential to be able to play forward quickly, either with a pass or by dribbling into space.
Quick combinations such as one-twos, up-back-throughs, overlaps and underlaps are efficient ways to pe*****te and disorganise defences so that a path towards goal can be found.
Players should support their team-mate on the ball to give them options and create overloads which can then be exploited to pe*****te the opposition ⚽️
Okay, he hasn’t really been sacked, but there’s a lot of people thinking they could do a better job, including our followers, so we asked them who’d they’d pick to improve England’s chances at the Euros.
What do you think of these lineups? 🏴
🆕 BREAKING THE LINES 🆕 The focus at PPC this week is creating the attack by breaking the lines ⚽️💥.
If performed consciously and constructively, breaking the opposition’s lines can serve to open the pitch up and result in swift and successful attacks. To break a line, players must be able to receive the ball on the turn and deceive and eliminate pressing opponents from the game.
In the modern game, most teams operate with either a high press, a mid-press or a low press. These present obstacles when in possession but having the ability to break lines can quickly lead to attacking opportunities.
PS. Remember lots of water this week! It's going to be a hot one! 💦 🥵
Is it coming home? Who knows, but you can stay home this Thursday as there will be no training to allow players and parents to watch the England v Denmark game. An email has been sent confirming details of the rescheduled session.
Enjoy the game and… COME ON ENGLAND! 🏴
Meet the team! Say hi to Rich!👋
Today’s the last of our ‘meet the staff’ posts, and what better way to end than with Rich, another volunteer, who sums up why he’s involved with PPC Utd by saying, “because without volunteers, grassroots football wouldn’t survive”. So here’s a HUGE THANKS to all the volunteers who make the beautiful game available to our boys and girls. Rich is the first person we’ve profiled who hasn’t picked England or France to win the Euros - after last night’s game I think a few of us might be evaluating our choices! But will Rich be right with Ronaldo and co? 🏆
🎉⚽This Summer we go football crazy!! ⚽🎉

Meet the team! Say hello to Nick!👋
Over the last couple of weeks we’ve been meeting our coaching staff, but now it’s time to say hi to a couple of our volunteers 👏. Like most football clubs, our PPC Utd team relies on volunteers. Nick provides his knowledge, time and effort to the club as our treasurer and is also next season’s Panthers’ coach ⚽️. Nick, as a Chelsea fan, is ever the optimist and has England down to win the Euros… Will he be right?🏆
Meet the team! Say hi to Tom!👋
Tom has been with PPC since last September and in that short time has shown what a great coach he is, and that he has a bright future in sport’s coaching. Tom is a Man Utd fan and plays golf and cricket in his spare time – hope he’s got one of those woolly white jumpers for cricket, at this rate we’ll be classing cricket as a winter sport 🥶 ! Tom thinks Southgate and co will be bringing the trophy home from the Euros – do you share his faith? 🏆🏴
Meet the team! Say hello to Alex!👋
Alex is PPC’s lead coach and if your child has been lucky enough to enjoy one of our holiday camps, you’ve got Alex to thank as he’s also our camps manager. With seven years under his belt at PPC and a newly qualified UEFA B coach 👏, Alex clearly knows his football… so is he right with Germany being bit of a dark horse at the Euros? 🇩🇪
Meet the team! Say hi to Billy!👋
Billy has been with PPC for seven years, and has passed on heaps of knowledge and expertise to the numerous children he’s worked with. His favourite thing about coaching is helping children love football and grow their understanding the game👏
Billy’s a Chelsea fan and is putting his money on France winning the Euros… do you agree? Oui ou non? 🇫🇷
Meet the team! Say hi to Mo!👋
Mo has been with PPC and In2Sports for almost a year, and in that time Mo’s demonstrated some wonderful coaching that really engages the young players he’s worked with👏
Living in Berkshire he’s obviously a Man Utd fan 😂, and like most of the other PPC coaches, he has faith in England winning the Euros – is he going to be right? 🏆
Meet the team! Today we say hi to Elliott 👋
For over ten years Elliott has been applying his brilliant coaching and football knowledge at PPC. There’s not much Elliott doesn’t know about working with young players, and he’s also a great role model for our upcoming coaches 👏
Being a Chelsea fan, Elliott is hoping Cole Palmer 🥶 will be leading England to Euros glory… Does Palmer get in your first XI? 🤷♂️
Meet the team! Today we say hello to Jamie 👋
Jamie has been with PPC since 2023, adding his football knowledge and marketing skills to our pool of talent 👏
Possibly the only Wolves fan in Berkshire, Jamie thinks Mbappe will lead France to Euro glory… Do you agree? 🤷♂️
Meet the team! Say hello to CJ, PPC’s Director 👋
CJ has been with PPC since its launch and has a wealth of coaching knowledge, an endless catalogue of fun games and drills for any scenario and above all, a brilliant way with children… 👏
Do you agree with his winner of the Euros? And what about the question that will divide football fans for decades to come, Ronaldo or Messi 🤷♂️
Mental Health Awareness Week is over, but every week we should be aware of mental health challenges. Sport and football have huge benefits for young people’s wellbeing, but struggles can still exist. Keep encouraging talking, keep signposting and keep listening 👊
🆕 COUNTER ATTACKING 🆕 The focus at PPC this week is counter attacking ⚽️💥.
Simply put, this is when a team sits deep in their own half absorbing pressure, and then upon winning the ball, they attack at speed exploiting the space that’s been left.
We’ll look at the various details that make a successful counter attacking team, such as defending responsibly with heightened levels of concentration, being able to play out quickly and then attack with speed, movement and clinical finishing 💥
Any idea who was the most successful Premier League side from counter attacks this season? Clue, they scored 9 goals on the break and their manager is leaving…
Our May half term camp is just around the corner! Have you booked your child’s place? ⚽️
Swipe for further details 👊
🆕 PRINCIPLE OF BALANCE WHEN DEFENDING 🆕 We all love scoring goals but defending is equally important, plus with the right defensive principles, defence is often the first part of an attack.
We'll be looking at how players can pressure and cover (roles and responsibilities), body position, recognition of ball movement and change of roles, transition speed between roles, reading body shape of players in possession to anticipate what they are going to do, and the end product once the ball is won, can a counter-attack be launched ⚽️
WEEKEND LOADING… The sun is out, the chimes of ice cream vans and unintelligible Tannoy announcements fill the air… It can mean only one thing… tournament season! ⚽️🏆
Good luck if your team or child is playing this weekend. Bang in some goals, soak up the rays and enjoy copious Twisters and Fabs (just don’t tell the team’s nutritionist 😉)
🚨 PLAYERS WANTED 🚨. PPC Utd’s under-8s will have two teams in next season’s North East Hants League, so we’re looking for new players who will be Year 3 at school in September. If you’re looking for a new Saturday team for your child, we have open training sessions on Wednesdays throughout May.
Coached by FA and UEFA qualified coaches and based at Luckley House School, Wokingham, Berkshire, the team has access to grass and all-weather pitches, so players get to play, develop and have fun all season.
To arrange your child’s session, please fill out the form that can be found in our bio ⚽️💥
