It’s time to say a very sad goodbye to our overseas player, Byron “Biz”, as he heads back home to South Africa! 🇿🇦

Biz, thank you for everything you have done for Bankfoot Cricket Club this season. Not only have you been an absolute machine on the cricket field, but you’ve been an absolute pleasure to have around the club. 🏏👏

From the big runs, the laughs, the banter and everything in between, you’ve certainly made your mark at Bankfoot! And off the pitch, you’ve been one of the loveliest lads we could have asked for. 💙

We’re so grateful you chose to spend your season with us, and you’ll always be part of the Bankfoot family. We hope you’ve enjoyed your time with us as much as we’ve enjoyed having you!

Safe travels home Biz, go smash it back in South Africa! 🇿🇦❤️

The 2nd XI finished their season in style on home soil, taking on Scholes CC in their final game of the campaign.

Scholes won the toss and elected to field, with Bankfoot getting off to a steady start before building a competitive total of 114/8 from their 22 overs.

There were some great contributions throughout the innings, with Gary Wainwright leading from the front with a brilliant 28 from 20 balls, including 5 fours and a six.

🏏 1st XI | Sandal CC v Bankfoot CC

A tough end to the season for the Bankfoot 1st XI, as they travelled to Sandal for their final game of the campaign.
Bankfoot won the toss and elected to field, with Sandal posting a strong 278/7 from their 50 overs, leaving Bankfoot with a big total to chase.

In reply, Bankfoot were bowled out for 154 in 31 overs, with Sandal taking the win by 124 runs.

There were, however, some excellent individual performances with the bat.

Q Aziz led the charge with a brilliant 65 from just 40 balls, smashing 3 fours and 7 sixes in a brilliant innings.

Byron Haycock also put together a valuable 57 not out from 77 balls, hitting 8 fours and carrying his bat right through the innings.

Unfortunately, wickets fell regularly around them and Bankfoot couldn't find the partnerships needed to chase down Sandal's total.

Not the finish the lads would have wanted, but a huge thank you to everyone who has represented the 1st XI this season. Plenty of hard work, some great performances and plenty of memories along the way.

That's a wrap on the 1st XI season, bring on 2027! 💙🏏
