A very special moment from the Bristol Young Heroes Awards 2026.💜✨

This year, we introduced the Emma Britton Award for the first time, created in memory of our dear friend Emma and recognising a young person who embodies her spirit through kindness, compassion, encouragement and a commitment to lifting others up.

We couldn’t have been prouder to see Jason Menhinnitt become its very first recipient. Jason first joined the Bristol Young Heroes family as a finalist in 2021 and has continued to give back ever since, supporting Community of Purpose and encouraging the young people who have followed in his footsteps.

Watching Jason receive an award that represents everything Emma stood for was an incredibly meaningful moment.

Congratulations again, Jason. A truly deserving winner.💜

Friday brought plenty of excitement, teamwork and friendly competition, giving everyone the chance to finish the week with lots of fun.

From learning circus skills to cheering each other on, the session was full of confidence-building, laughter and determination.

At Flourish Pottery, everyone had the chance to try something different, express themselves and create something they could be proud of.

Creative activities like this help build confidence, encourage self-expression and give young people the freedom to explore new interests.
