MENโS SENIORS | PRE SEASON ๐ค๐
Tonight we had the opportunity to invite Saracens up for a live training session.
We saw close to 30 boys from each side go at it in attack and defence. It gave us a real opportunity to try new combinations, look at our structure and get some valuable minutes under the belt as we progress into our pre season games.
Iโm extremely happy with where we are as a side and really excited to see the continued progression in the upcoming games.
Thanks to Ben and the Sarries lads for their efforts tonight. We hope you got as much out of it as we did, and we wish you all the best for the season ahead in your new league. ๐ค

Following the 2026 Club Annual General Meeting (AGM), a number of new club officials were voted in ahead of the new season
All of these people come from different parts of North Bristol RFC which is fantastic to see and provides us with diverse and wide club representation at both committee and directors level.
โช๏ธClub Chair
Martin Harrex takes up the role of Club Chair after acting as the Club Secretary for many years. Martin (aka "Harry") has stepped into this role following the most unexpected, devastating and tragic of circumstances. But we know his appointment to this role and his leadership he has shown so far as Club Chair, is exactly what Boldy would have wanted ๐ซถ
โช๏ธDirector of Rugby
Dani Masters takes up the role of Director of Rugby ahead of the new season. Having previously undertook the Minis & Junior Chair role and Joint Chair of Rugby role in recent seasons. As Director of Rugby, Dani will oversee all on pitch activites and head up a Rugby Committe with input from representatives from all parts of the playing side of the club. We can't wait to see what Dani can accomplish and drive forward in this new role, whilst bringing that can do attitude and high levels of energy that she has consistently brought in her previous roles at the club.
โช๏ธCommercial Director
Liz Edwards takes up the role of Commerical Director. Liz comes from a very strong rugby family and background. She has also been heading up our Girls Section in recent seasons. She now looks to bring her skills and experience to take on a wider club role focusing on revenue generation opportunities to support the club in achieving a solid financial position, so that we can continue to provide rugby for all. Liz has also become one of the appointed Club Directors.
โช๏ธClub Secretary
Sam Malpas takes up the role of Club Secretary taking on the role from Martin Harrex. Sam is a Junior parent who has become more involved with her children's team and is now looking to bring her professional experience and skills to support the wider club in an official capacity. Sam provides valuable and appreciated input to both committee and director level.
โช๏ธClub Treasurer
Kathryn Hazzard takes up the role of Club Treasurer. Kathryn has a daughter who plays in the Girls section and is the Wife of 500 plus senior mens games - Craig Hazzard (aka "Chicken"). It was potentially only a matter of time before Kathryn became the latest Hazzard to take on a formal role with the club. Again she looks to bring her excellent experience and profesional skill set to a voluntary role and support club operations.
โช๏ธMinis & Junior Chair
Dan Snow takes up the role of Mini & Junior Chair. Having last season taken on the Minis Section Lead role, Dan steps up to Chair the largest section in the club, with Boys and Girls from 5 years old up to 18 years old playing rugby. Dan is a senior player who also coaches within the junior section where both his children play. You only need to speak to him for a short period of time to recognise the amazing amount of enthusiasm and passion he has for this new role.
โช๏ธVice Chair
Alex "Raymond" Flannigan takes up the role of Vice Chair. He will oversee all off the pitch activites and head up a Club Operations Committe with input from representatives from other parts of the non-playing side of the club. Alex has also become one of the appointed Club Directors. Behind every chopsy scrum half, is usually a no nonsense prop quietly ready to back them up and help if required, so why should our Chair and Vice Chair be any different ๐
If you have any questions, suggestions, feedback, want to get more involved in the club, drive a package of work forward? Then feel free to speak to any of these people whi can advise or point you in the right direction.
We wish all of these new club officials the best of luck ahead and thank them for volunteering their time to support the club ๐โค๏ธ๐โค๏ธ

Life membership is an honour bestowed on individual club members who have shown exceptional, loyal and outstanding contribution to the club over an extended period of time.
Their contribution has produced measurable benefit to the club over a sustained period and is obvious to all.
Following the 2026 Club Annual General Meeting (AGM), 3 people have been awarded the highest honour and level of recognition by North Bristol RFC for all that they have done for the club over many, many years.
โช๏ธSteve Bold โค๏ธ๐๐๐๐
โช๏ธRob Olorenshaw
โช๏ธMatt Parcel
These 3 join a small list of people who have been awarded this prestigious honour by the club and all 3 are very much deserving of it without doubt ๐โค๏ธ๐โค๏ธ๐โค๏ธ

North Bristol RFC wanted to take this opportunity to thank Dec Dunphy for his fantastic work as both Club Treasurer and Commerical Director over the recent years ๐
Dec has now stepped down from these roles and will be really missed. He has put in a huge amount of work and countless voluntary hours to improve the running of the club, as well as generating a significant amount of revenue income for the club which has enabled us to provide rugby for all that everyone associated with North Bristol RFC has benefited from as a result ๐
When he was not dealing with numbers, he could often be seen rolling his sleeves up and doing various tasks around the clubhouse to help out wherever he could, with whatever was needed, showing an amazing work ethic and enormous level of commitment to the club.
The long lasting impact from Dec's great work will certainly help the club going forward which is a real credit to how effective he has been juggling both of these roles on a voluntary basis and delivering them both to such a high level ๐
If you see him at the club during the season, feel free to offer to buy him a pint of delicious Guiness as a thank you for all that he has done for the club ๐โค๏ธ

A partnership built on growth, inclusion and community
North Bristol RFC is delighted to announce a new three-year partnership with DSNY Wealth Planning Ltd, which joins the Club as its Primary Sponsor.
The agreement brings together two organisations with a shared commitment to long-term growth, stronger communities and greater diversity and inclusion in sport. DSNY's support will help strengthen the Club's future, support its players and enhance the experience of the wider North Bristol rugby community.
The partnership also reflects a mutual ambition to ensure rugby remains open, welcoming and representative of the communities it serves, while creating opportunities for more people to feel part of the sport.
For DSNY, wealth planning is about more than money - it is about empowering people to live the lives they want while creating positive change for communities, good causes and charities. Rooted in social worth, the firm seeks partnerships built on people, prosperity, planet and shared purpose.
