Elton Sailing Club

Great to see boats out racing on Sundays and Wednesdays plus the Junior and Ladies training on Thursday evenings. Some great guys leading in all these activities.

We had a pleasant day sailing on Sunday. A most enjoyable day with sailing and socialising combined.

Our juniors had a great night on the water last night. Big thanks to all the support team. Hopefully we will have a few more to join in the fun.

Another good day at ESC yesterday with some good competitive racing on the water and plenty of banter and laughter in the club during the apres sailing session.

Sailing is up a going at the club with a good showing last night and plenty of good banter in the bar after sailing. We are up a running again.

Success for our Juniors at the National Schools Sailing Association team racing event.

This weekend Elton Juniors spent the weekend at Yorkshire Dales Sailing Club to compete in the National Schools DH Team Racing event. We had two teams competing - Elton Sorcerers in the Firefly Fleet and Elton Wizards in the Feva Fleet.

Saturday was glorious, with warm sun but the winds were a little light for sailing and but both fleets managed to get races in. On Sunday the winds arrived and some great team racing took place.

Harriet and The Elton Sorcerous came away with a Gold in the Firefly Silver Fleet and William and The Elton Wizards came away with Silver in the Feva Silver Fleet. A fantastic achievement all round.

A day on water today to wrap up the 2025 season! With Solo & ILCA class training. Back to basics with the 5 essentials and maxing out boat speed. We had a short session on the land to look at the controls to change gear, while we waited wind, then 3 hours on the water. Wrapping up with 6 sprint races. No idea of the results as it didn’t matter just good fleet racing to sharpen the skills. Thats the season wrapped up and well back sailing after a short break.
