The morning after the day before.
36 holes, two rounds, and everything golf should be. Explosive golf, long putts holed under pressure, incredible shots and no shortage of missed opportunities too. But if there is one thing nobody can take away from yesterday, it is the endurance, skill and love of the game shown by 54 competitors out at The Peaks.
Thank you to everyone who took part
The Club Championship Handicap Trophy went all the way to a three-hole playoff, with Gavin Dolling, Jack Thorpe and James B Williams all finishing locked together on 134 strokes. It was Jack who came through in the end, holing a birdie on the 18th to win it on the third playoff hole. Fantastic effort from Gavin and James; what a battle.
Scratch Club Champion is Jack Thorpe with 136. Second place goes to Zac Cooke on 138, with Paul Tiplady third on 142
And with the season now complete, the Order of Merit champions are confirmed. Net Champion, Jaco Cronje on 404. Scratch Champion, Jack Thorpe on 422.
Congratulations to Jaco and Jack, and congratulations to every single person who competed this year. Thank you.
The full gallery will be with you shortly. Happy Sunday.

To add a bit of extra spice to proceedings, we have put together a friendly sweepstake for the day. Have a go at calling the gross and nett winners for round one, the gross and nett winners for round two, and who will be crowned Champion of all Champions.
Just a bit of fun, no money and no prizes on the line, though the sharpest guesses might just find a couple of beverages heading their way.
Every shot counts. Every hole matters. Who has what it takes?
See you on The Peaks.

Get ready for one of the biggest days on the calendar. The Men's Championship on Saturday, the 15th August.
This is thirty-six holes in a single day, a true test of skill and stamina, and the lowest thirty-six-hole gross score will be crowned Girton Golf Club Champion.
If scores are tied, a three-hole playoff over the eighth, ninth and eighteenth will settle it as soon as all cards are back in. If a player is in the running for both the gross and nett competitions, the nett result will be decided on countback.
Prizes are up for grabs for gross, nett overall, and for the best morning and afternoon rounds in both gross and nett. The presentation takes place after play and will also include the Order of Merit trophies.
Playing on the day? We have a special lunch package to keep you fuelled between rounds. Choose a ciabatta from chicken caesar salad, ham cheese and chutney, or halloumi with roasted peppers and sweet chilli and rocket, served with a bag of crisps and a soft drink, all for nine pounds fifty while stocks last.
To guarantee your lunch and a quick turnaround before your afternoon eighteen, pre-order with Giuseppe at the bar by Thursday the 13th August.

Four generations of the Cooke family, all playing their part at Girton Golf Club. Grandad, Dad, Son, Grandson and now Great Grandson too, all part of the same club, all part of the same story.
How many other clubs can say that? We do not think there are many. This is what makes Girton so special. Golf here is not just a game; it is something that gets passed down.
We are proud to have the legends of the Cooke family as part of our club.
