When people say that the reformer is more advanced than the mat, it's usually (always?) because they aren't aware of the full expression of the mat work. I'm sharing this rather than my own practice, because I'm still working towards many of the harder exercises.
PS....do you recognise the beginner and intermediate exercises all still there in the system?

How about a worry-free start to Pilates? Our fundamentals lessons are designed to break down barriers and get you into class.
Start your membership off with a four week 'couch to class' plan where we go through all of the basics so that you know you are doing it right - and the best bit is that we include these classes in your reformer membership plan (and 2 classes in a mat membership), so you get the benefit of semi-private personal training to build your confidence - maximum four people, so you can ask questions freely, and we can see that you are moving well.

A strong spine is the opposite of a fragile spine. Claire started Pilates after injuring her spine and continues to practise it to keep her spine strong and resilient.

A little "behind the scenes action" at the studio. We had a manufacturer's service on our apparatus today. All new springs; nuts and bolts checked and tightened; a few wheels were replaced; and everything was aligned perfectly. They are riding like new again!
A small selection of mad Pilates video clips I've seen:
Standing on the reformer using the long box for an overhead press while doing standing splits
Mothers using reformers while their babies crawl on them.
Mountain climbers under spring tension with the toes at the back end of the long box, just a slipped toe from disaster.
Beginners high kneeling holding the straps (and falling into the well)
Balancing one arm on rail of the reformer...via a stability ball
Squatting in the well, pushing the box using the bum!
This is why I'm VERY picky about who I let teach at Ease Pilates.
