How that set felt.
How the session landed.

It’s feeling supported and encouraged to try things you once talked yourself out of.
It’s having someone help you back yourself when it counts.

And most of all,
It feels like winning.
Sometimes big. Sometimes quiet.
In the gym and outside of it too.

That’s the goal. Always.

I had the pleasure of introducing two of my athletes to an Olympic Weightlifting competition.

Our focus and intentions for the day were to simply HAVE FUN and LIFT. Swipe left to see how they did!!

We all left with big smiles, PBs and a medal! 🥉

Workshop #4 before I leave for Australia in September!

This girl gang unlocked and uncovered so many parts of Olympic Weightlifting that will progress their training in the next level!

✨ 50kg CJ at 34 weeks pregnant. 7kg off her PB!
✨ PB CJ at 35kg and some positional work for the Sn**ch sinking in! She won’t be far off from hitting a beautiful 25kg Sn**ch!
✨Atarah, a cricketer, showed great weightlifting potential by the way she moved with the bar!
✨ Cambridge Rugby players and Margaux executed how Weightlifting has so many transferable skills for Rugby. It was crazy to see how they easily moved with moderately heavy weights! However, lifting the heavier loads proved that proficient positions and technique BEATS brute strength 😏😏

It was empowering to see these women lift weights OVERHEAD and happily give the sport of Olympic Weightlifting a go.

My heart is full 💖

**I unfortunately could not take videos as I was too busy coaching :( I might have to hire a professional next time. Any recommendations?

I’m sorry to break it to you - motivation alone won’t get you to where you want to be 🫣

Motivation ignites the spark to act and finally make a difference. It comes and goes. It comes when we feel inspired. It goes when we don’t see any more progress.

Now, the big D.

DISCIPLINE.

Discipline usually comes after motivation when the spark fades. It’s what keeps us going even when we don’t feel motivated. It’s when we realise the bricks we’ve been building will fall off if we stop chipping away.

So, how do we transform our motivation to discipline, and how can our discipline strengthen motivation?

✨ Set a clear vision
✨ Break down your goal/s into small and achievable targets
✨ Create a structured routine
✨Know the difference between motivation and discipline
✨ Grace and compassion

This will take time, trial and error, and lotsssssss of patience. My advice? Start small. Do one thing one day at a time.

Little by little, a little becomes a lot 🫶🏽

Last Sunday, I hosted my first Introduction to Olympic Weightlifting workshop, and it was a blast!

I had a great mix of beginner lifters, people looking to try something new, and athletes from various sports, all coming together to learn the basics of Olympic Weightlifting.

It was awesome coaching such a motivated and inclusive group—everyone was eager to learn, ready to uplift others, and have fun while doing it!
